Right off of Delaware route 1 and about 30 minutes to the state beaches, this is a good place to stay for a few nights if you can't grab a room further south. The motel is right behind a McDonald's and shares facilities, like a pool, with the Holiday Inn & Suites next door.
The common area looks to have been recently remodeled and has a comfortable feel to it. The other sections of the hotel needs some work. Going down the 1st floor hallway to my room I noticed faded and peeling wallpaper and stained carpet. The room itself was worn. Of particular concern was the carpet - it was ripped in a few places and quite dirty. In addition, the television was an older, analog model that didn't have the capability of displaying the complete digital screen of most channels.
I hope the owners of this Comfort Inn are looking to remodel these rooms in the near future. If not, it may be the last time I stay here.More
