I've been here dozens of times the last several years. It's really three separate places with (at least) three different types of experiences: sometimes grumpy take out, pleasant family sit down dining, dead/fun bar scene. The pizza is pretty good. Not a huge garlic fan and this one is easier on the garlic than some 'authentic' Italian places. The cheese steaks are decent. Some in our group liked the seafood but I've never ventured that far from the standard pizza place stuff.
First the take out. I've only done this a couple times but it can be a little soup nazi-ish so have your order together before going in there or you could get a bit of an attitude. Not enough to scare me away but if having a beer is a possibility, I suggest you go order at the bar, get a beer and wait for your food there rather than at the take out counter.
For the dining room, it's usually not too packed, even on a busy weekend when other places have 45 min waits. We had a group of 8 including young kids and it was perfect. Served promptly, no wait, decent food for the kids and not wildly expensive.
Finally the bar. I like this bar but it's kind of random as to whether you are going to have a blast or it's going to be completely dead. Most of the time, it's dead. It's kind of small so it's a little like you are in your parent's basement with a stereo (jukebox), couple TVs and a dart board (one of the few places left with real darts). If there are people in the bar, it can be pretty interactive and fun....maybe because it's small or maybe it's because it attracts gregarious people who have stumbled on it over the years. When it's on, it one of my favorite places to have a beer in Dewey.
