We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were nicely decorated and smelled so fresh and clean. The owners are great and so nice. A quiet and comfortable stay. We will stay again next year.

It was Friday, and our family decided to get away for a weekend before chemo treatments started again for our son, and we desperately needed a place to stay. I am a "type A" person, and never (NEVER!) do last minute planning. With everything booked up, we were directed by the staff of the Holiday Inn, to try this little gem of a place. We are so glad we did! With a lovely deck outside our room, picnic table and grill, and a wonderful staff, we were one very happy family. The owner is one amazing person, and we so hope that others visit the Pines to not only enjoy the beautiful Bethany Beach, but also to support such a lovely warm-hearted person.

Room Tip: There are three "new rooms" connected to the house that have a deck. The deck wraps around the room on the end closest to the courtyard/picnic area.

This is a newly-renovated, older motel property with a charming layout and friendly management. The only reason we give it 4 rather than 5 is the location (a 15-20 minute walk from beach--hard to do with kids or beach gear) and lack of amenities we've all gotten used to in most hotels--coffee or breakfast area, newspaper, etc.
Management was so friendly and accommodating--allowed us to check out late after returning from a last-day, late-morning trek to the beach (though peak season was over already).
One minor caveat is that the property is located about half a mile south of the intersection of Garfield and Kent--not near the intersection as it shows on many online maps. This made it hard to find at 12:30 am when we rolled into town.
We would consider going here again, just because of the attitude of the management.

At the height of tourist season, we found a "gem" tucked away from the maddness with all the access you wanted or needed to the "maddness"! Best place by far . Seattle, WA

Room Tip: Clean, comfortable, quiet and easy to get everywhere.
