Had lunch here as our usual restuarant was exceptionally closed.
The modernised interior is very nice as it gives the place some light, shame about the grubby cushions on the sofa seats...
The food was slightly above average for typical English pub food, in no way gastro pub as it tries to be, it certainly did not light our fire.
Prices are about what I would expect but quality is not what is delivered, my advice would be to walk across the road to find creative and professionally prepared cuisine at little extra cost, not a pub experience agreed but infinitely better.
