“Gastrolicious Seafood Heaven!”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

If seafood is your thing, you won't fine a finer restaurant in Kent.
Always a superb selection of the better quality fish. John Dory, Halibut, Turbot, Langoustines etc.
Cooked to Michelin standards with warm and welcoming staff in a buzzing atmosphere. I've eaten here many times and the standard never slips. Plenty of good choices for the fish averse crowd too. Considering the quality the prices are very reasonable. Try the Albarino white to compliment the fish. One of the best I've tasted.
Only downside is the tables are very close and the background noise can get quite intense at times. Coffee could be better but only a minor quibble. Highly recommended.

“Best Non Michelin Dining in Kent.”
Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

And for the money is definitely as good value as the likes of Chapter One in Bromley and the guide has tipped its hat to it several years in a row now.

We have dined here probably two dozen times now as a couple but also with family and friends. The food is always of a very high standard, the staff are very friendly and the wine list is pretty good.

Ambience is very nice, can get a little noisy on some prime time sittings.

This really is the only place in Kent we really like to repeat visit, highly recommended.

“Brilliant!”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

Fantastic food, excellent service and good value. We walked here for lunch through the lovely Woodland Trust area of Bearsted. We wanted to sit outside as we had dogs with us. As these tables could not be pre-booked, we got there as the restaurant opened to make sure of a place. As it happened, it was raining as we arrived, so we had the outside to ourselves. We were fine under the shades, and the waiter offered to put the heater on, but it wasn't needed (especially when the sun came out soon after). We loved the complimentary nibbles: delicious bread, butter, olives & gherkins. 2 courses were £16.95 and 3 courses £19.95 on the set lunch menu. We could only manage two courses, so we can't comment on the desserts. We just wish we lived nearer!

“Excellent meal from the lunch menu”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

My mum and i visited Fish on the Green as we have heard very good reviews about the food here.

We opted to eat from the lunch menu, the prices were good cinsidering the quality of the food served. I believe 2 courses were £15.95 and 3 courses were £19.95 (more than they state online)

There was fantastic choice from the set menu and even a non fish option.

I look forward to returning in the future for more lovely top quality food

The only downside i have is it was very difficult to make a resevation, i called over three days at different times (3-4 times each day) and there was no answer so did have a plan b (the white horse) as this was for a birthday
