“Re-Visit - 10 years Later”

A delightful lunch experience, this place has been on the back burner for awhile, no good reason except a conflict with another favorite.

Food was very good, Nantucket Cod was exceptional. Local produce when available. Atmosphere is eclectic and enjoyable, something new to observe, artwork or glass or other collectables.

Planning to return for another gathering within a couple weeks - perhaps a Sunday lunch.

“It is not all Good News”
Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

I wish it would have been better. The restaurant was busy and LOUD!! Our server was good, not great. The table ordered a bottle of wine, which was great and water. They charged a dollar for water-not water with gas-just water. It looked like tap water in used designer water bottles. A Caesar salad with one anchovy filet and a few croutons was $11.00! Entrees were ordered, prices ranged from $26.00-32.00 at our table and no one was overly impressed. Lobster Mac & Cheese was light on the lobster and too heavy on the richness. Short ribs with yucca cake, one rib was full of grizzle and the yucca cake that the server raved about was BLAND. Sword fish was tasty and the game plate was...fair. On a positive note the mixed veggies included fiddleheads!!!! DELISH!

“IT JUST GETS BETTER”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Having been a patron of this restaurant for many years, we always liked the eclectic atmosphere and the menu....but OH what a surprise last night....a brand new menu,,with some standards but wonderful new choices for farm fresh salads as well as a number of new fish entrees...(Yes they still have lamb and steak) the deserts are also hard to pick.....all very good.....Carol stopped by our table and indicated that the menu will continue to change throughout the 'fresh farm' growing season...I highly recommend this place.....

“thoroughly enjoyable”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Definitely unusual, and on balance very enjoyable. Food is mostly very good, portions are huge, in fact too large. Ingredients are good quality, the staff are really nice, and what's astonishing, the owner actually spends a few moments with diners at EACH table. That's rare nowadays. We would certainly return another time.

“Pricey, but great food”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

My wife and I have been twice now. The first time, last summer we had the lobster Mac and cheese which was out of this world. We went again thinking we'd do the same, but decided on the sea scallops and chicken instead. Both outstanding. Service was really good, not rushed, but certainly not slow. It is pricey compared to the many of the other offerings in the area, but is a good spot for a more special occasion. We will be back for the lobster Mac and cheese.
