stayed here 4 days and 3 nights. this resort is under the management of Sari Pacifica Resorts and Spa. been staying with their resorts for the past 4 years..and we enjoyed our stay . we are a family with 3 young childrens infact with 1 infant (3mths) and everything went smoothly and all my kids enjoy their stay.

staffs put their efforts to the fullest just to pleased their guest. rates here are affordable since it include fullboard. though there is no TV in the room, but (yeah who needs a tv when u have plenty of activities to do on the beach and sea) it doesnt not matter.

credits to the management office who always tried their best to accomondate their guests :)

highly recommended..

if you are an island lover then u should also try other sari pacifica resorts such as in Sibu Island, Redang and Lang Tengah Island!

Room Tip: book into a seaview room where u will apreciate more :)

We went to this hotel in a low period, so it was almost empty. A couple of days we were the only guests and there was a feeling of exclusiveness :). The food was very very tasty, the stuff was friendly and attentive, prices were good.
The only sad thing during that trip were sand flies. Their bites provoked strong itching and it took enough long time for healing.

We spent a long weekend here with a fantastic group of friends. The resort was everything we could ever have hoped for - fantastic beach, great food, nice breazy bar area, good accommodation and marvelously expansive areas.

Whilst at the resort, there was nobody else around except for our group so the whole resort was ours to enjoy.

The water was incredibly clear and the coral reef 30 metres off the beach provided great viewing of some amazing tropical fish.

Each day we would start with a run along the beach, followed by a great breakfast and then straight down to the beach, where we would spend all day swimming, playing and generally having a relaxing time. In between the bar is always there for a cooling drink.

Lunch was a great buffet.

Would recommend Besar to anybody, except if you are travelling alone as it may be possible that you will not meet too many other travellers when you get there. Coming from Singapore, as soon as we arrived, we felt like we were a million kilometres from anywhere.

Room Tip: Fantastic rooms are available close to the bar right on the beach

Resort is pretty decent, amazing and quiet beach. The resort got their own beach chairs and tent, so there is no need to worry about paying anything more for the rental of the chairs.

Afforable price for food. GREAT services from staff and they were very helpful. They even went an extra mile by sourcing for bus tickets from Mersing to Singapore (which we couldn't have got back on time without their help).

There isnt wifi or tv in the room and the live band was petty loud at times. Nevertheless, its a great experience if you want a relax and chill trip with nothing much to do.

Coming from Singapore, Pulau Besar is a very nice and convenient place to go. The hotel can organize private charter ferry which makes it easier than waiting for the scheduled ferry at Mersing.

The beach is amazing, but a bit spoiled by the rusty ugly plateform that is used to make a new berth. As a consequence, the water was full of charcoil and other dirty stuff. But it should be temporary hopefully.

The hotel is very quiet and rooms are very spacious. The swimming pool is much welcomed after a long day at the beach. The terrace where you eat and have drink is great, facing the beach and the furnitures are brand new and classy. You can stay at night for a while since you won't disturb the customers who are further back in the garden. By the way, the dinner which as included in the package was absolutly brillant for a kind of "remote" place like that, you can see that they put a lot of effort and we loved it.

There is a great beach volley pitch which is fun if you come along with friends, which I recommend for a place like that.

Room Tip: Go to the trail at the backyard and hike on the top of the hill and go down to the beach on the othe...

It's my first time staying in the islands off Mersing and I didn't know what to expect.

It's definitely a place which does not build its reputation by adverts or agents but mainly on recommendation by guests. There are more Europeans in the resort and mostly repeating guest. They come back every year because they love this place.

The rooms are comfortable ...it's separate chalets with air conditioning and water heater showers. Good enough to sleep and you can spend the whole day at the beach.

What really impressed me about the place is the customer service. You could really experience the personal touch they have for each guest. I was lucky to be there on a Saturday night as it was a BBQ buffet with an excellent live band. There are 2 other similar resorts in the same island, but you will actually the guest of those resorts in this resort for dinner and drinks most of the time.

It's definitely recommended for those who just want to relax and enjoy a good time by the beach away from the city.
