Driving through the area at night we could see this church from miles away as it was lit up like a beacon in the dark landscape. On driving up to it we saw that it was closed, but lit up even on the inside. We did not peak through the windows as we did not want to step on anyone's grave as the church is surrounded by a churchyard. It is also built close to the sea which we could hear but not see. This church is said to be one of the richest in Iceland and is open during the day. There is a carpark right next to the gate leading up to the church.
