“Great option for a sunday night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

First of all the service is great. At the begining we were expecting other person and we wait in the bar, they offer us beers and frehs and hot bread (delicius)
Then for an appetizer we had oysters they were really good. For main dishes I had chicken. it was good, not a big size, but good and tasty.
Some of the best part was dessert, the ice cream is really good, with apple pie or cokies, better!

“great spot for brunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

I've eaten here many times since they opened and usually for dinner. Brunch was a really nice surprise. You can sit outside or in and we had a party of 6 with young kids so it was a wonderful treat to arrive early 11:00 and have the place to ourselves. They have a great salmon course which i recommend and the eggs were great too. I love their chopped salad and expanded it to make it a main course. The desserts are excellent, the chocolate bread pudding, s'mores and the blueberry peach crumble are worth a trip alone! our waiter was wonderful and was great and the menu has kid friendly options. My only complaint is that the dining room smelled heavily smoky and my clothing and hair smelled like bbq (not a problem cuz we like it) but that was just this one visit.

“Gotta try these....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Have eaten here twice with friends. Once made reservations by phone and once by opentable.com. Make reservations early or you may be eating edtly or late. There is nice outdoor dining and indoor dining is in a comfortable and full of a rustic, down home setting. There's a nice lit fireplace when it's cold outside. Great ambience and you'll feel comfortable dressed up or business casual. There's a small bar to enjoy while waiting for your table. We noticed people eating meals in this area without reservations in case you can't get a dining table.
The farm to table menu is online if you want to check it out ahead of time. Where to start, everything is so good. There are nightly specials, but font eat late as they can run out. Start with a small plate or soup. The fennel peach and spinach salads are good as is the chopped summer vegetable salad. Last fall we had the best pumpkin flan with shaved Brussels sprouts is warm and savory, to die for! The meatloaf and mini burgers are incredible from the first bite! I know, sounds weird, but this grass fed beef tastes like none I've ever had before. Desserts are big and easily shared. They're so good - s'mores with homemade marshmallows come in a glass and you spoon out all the yumminess. The chocolate cake and cobbler, yummy too. Dinner for four with a drink beforehand and a coffee at the end with tip, around $250. Service is great. Worth every penny.....

“Calling all foodies!”

No surprise that Paul Newman and Michel Nischan collaborated to deliver taste, farm to table, sustainable and an uber delectable dining experience. It's the "full monty." No question-- just experience it.

“Great food, excellent service... but not cheap!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

When it comes to fine dining, I'm happy to pay for a great meal. So I was not disappointed by this venerable restaurant adjacent to the Westport Country Playhouse (where we were seeing a play)

Beautiful decor, warm hospitality and gracious service compliment the extensive selection of "small plates". We can recommend the soups, both hot and cold and the extensive selection of salads. The oysters were great and the Heirloom Barley Grains Risotto was to die for. Deserts, as we were warned, were not small plate and looked delicious, though we opted for a wonderful cheese plate.

Dinner for three with one drink and tip came to $200 but was well worth the experience!
