Shockingly good. Tough location so it doesn't get nearly the traffic it deserves, but if you are looking for terrific food and "a scene" is of little consequence, then this is the spot. BYO wine.

Went to this little, very tastefully decorated, restaurant for dinner. Not easy to find but worthwhile looking for it. Service imprecable. Food was excellent. Expertly prepared. Nicely presented and with lots of taste. We loves te Coque au vin, the scallops salad and also the vegie dish called Pastel de choclu (a South American speciality). Tried two desserts, the creme brulee and the choclate cake, both excellent. Attention: this restaurnt does not sell wine or beer. No problem, we brought our own bottles. Hence got top wines at store retail price. Hence no overprice wines like in so many other estabishments.

Had a great dinner with friends. Lovely ambience, delicious food, top notch service. Can't wait to go back. Bring wine, and definitely order the mussels!

This was our third visit since September 2017 when we
Took a friend for her birthday. A special wine tasting was set up
By fountainhead of Norwalk Wall Street fame. With only seven tables and
5 bar stools; 25 of us enjoyed six Bordeaux reds and four tapa sized bites ranging
From a delightful spicy beef empanada (better made than Valencia), bacon wrapped dates, puff pastry wrapped chorizo And a warm spiced apple sweet. The wines flowed generously for a tasting and we did
Buy a half a case, but the experience was as good as any other group tasting we’ve experienced in the past five years!
And we go to tastings 3-5 times a year! Thank you Soledad and Mark (Chef and wine merchant )
Usually a BYOB, their was no corkage fee( we bring a magnum to avoid double fee)

Bistro Du Soleil is a new restaurant, but the family doing the cooking is well known and loved already in this part of CT. The food is creative and reflects the French. Latin and Mediterranean influences of the chef. While the food is high end “foodie heaven,” Bistro du Soleil is never stuffy or formal. The background jazz, featured art and soft colors are conducive to a relaxed and enjoyable experience. At this point, it is BYOB.
