Smaller menu, big welcoming bar. Lots of room for diners. Whole belly clams were a little bland but full.

Our reservation was for 7 pm on a saturday night. We were seated promply. Food here is excellent. Portions are large so we shared appetizers. We had clam fritters and a sampler platter which included buffalo shrimp, fried calamari and clam cakes. My husband ordered seafood paella and I had a lobster roll served with cole slaw and choice of onion rings ( real ones, not diced onions ) or fries. We also had one of the house special drinks. Because I still had some of my clam fritters left, I ordered a pint of clam chowder to go for the following day. This restaurant also has a happy hour everyday with special prices on selected food and drinks. Would like to return during the summer for another one of their lobster bakes.

We tried the grilled tuna and the baked seafood all three very good.Stay away from the pasta's this is not an Italian restaurant. The prices are very good avg about 20 dollars for a dinner, and 12 for and app. Beer about 4$ a glass and wine in the 20ties. 3 apps, 3 soups 8 dinners 2 bottles of wine and 8 beers 225.00 T&T

Visited WBL on 12/28/11 wasn't busy at all but it was also going on 8:00pm. Waitress was very attentive and helpfull. I ordered the Tuna steak and my wife had the Baked Cod dinner. Both wer'e incredible, you wouldn't find a better meal in a fancy restaurant. The Tuna steak was lightly encrusted in poppy seed and was cooked perfectly as well as the Baked Cod lightly coated, moist and flaky. Real Red Bliss Mashed Potatos and the vegatables wer'e also cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is family style rest. but dinner is Top Shelf at a BARGAIN. You can't go wrong here for the money.

The Wallingford restauatn in the winter is so cold your food is cold right after they deliver it. Made the mistake of ordering a fried meal and it was a waste of $75. for the night
