“Delish!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2012

The food was exquisite. On Sundays they now have a buffet style meal. For the price, I thought it would be like any other buffet. On the contrary, the food was warm, cooked to perfection and very creative with an Asian flare. The dining room was beautiful with a gorgeous waterfront view. I highly recommend!

“Great Thanksgiving Dinner and no dishes to wash!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2011

My husband and I went to Waters Edge for their Thanksgiving Buffet. It was wonderful. They had everything that we would have made at home plus whole lot more. Turkey, Ham, Boneless Prime Rib and Roasted Boneless Pork Loin and all the trimmings. They also had omelet and pasta stations, shrimp cocktail, antipasto and a large array of desserts. I love macaroni and cheese and they had the best I have ever eaten with truffles and peas and mushrooms and the made to order crepes they had for dessert were to die for; we are already looking to make reservations for Christmas!

“Best Brunch you will ever experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2011

This was our third time having brunch at the Water's Edge. My husband and I have three kids and we never get a chance to get away. When we do, we come to Water's Edge for brunch. This is a very fancy restaurant on the ocean. We always ask for and get a window view. The food is phenomenal - both for presentation and taste. There are multiple stations - a crepe station (my favorite), omeletes, pasta and meat carving. All are prepared to order - lit on fire -you name it. Awesome! The coffee is replenished without asking, as is the water. There is any possible breakfast and lunchand ooohhhh the desserts! At the salad table there are huge shrimp cocktails, salads, smoked salmon complete with capers and onions. Today there was a fantastic butternut bisque with sage. But the crepes.....OMG - they are so good! Worth the two hour drive for us, and lit on fire! This is a top notch, fancy, special special place. Today was our third time and it was awesome. It is $33 per person, but unlimited buffet. We ate at 11am and now, at 8pm, I still am completely full. Afterward, we go sit out on the beach on the lounge chairs and digest and get some sun. Even in November, it is gorgeous to sit outside and look at the ocean. This is the second time we have come over the Veteran's Day weekend and were able to sit on the beach and digest for more than an hour and not be cold. It is wonderful. I love it. Truly, truly top of the line in every aspect.

“Wine and Dine Package”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2011

We have been coming to the Waters Edge Resort in Westbrook, Ct. for over a year for their wine and dine special which is available only on Thursdays. To start with, the service provided is impeccable. They are very attentive to you throuh out the dining experience. We have a great waiter Alex who will remember your likes and dislikes and holds a conversation with you to make you feel special. He will remember details from week to week. Next, the food is freshly prepared and served in a nice presentation on the plate. There are only a few choices on the wine and dine special which varies week to week. There are two salads to choose from. Desserts are varying also and are delectible to the most discriminating palet. You get a bottle of wine with the meal, but you can always trade up if you want. We enjoy coming here for the $54.95 special for two and sometimes have friend join us. They too, are impressed with the whole experience and have returned with us. Do make reservations. Carmine
