“Best beach seafood anywhere”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

Small and cozy you can take your food outside to a table and enjoy the ocean. This place is so good that I didn't want to share for fear that they will become so popular that they will expand into a grand establishment. On a two week visit from Reno we ate there twice and everything was the most delicious and well prepared I have ever had including much more expensive places all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. Perfect sea food!

“Best soft-shell crab sandwich anywhere!”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Stowe's offers some of the best fried seafood in New England and the atmosphere, location and friendly staff can't be beat. The fried whole belly clams are delicious and the soft-shell crab sandwich is tops; delicate batter and succulent crab combine for an incredible meal. Sit outside or bring your meal directly across the street to a lovely beach. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Note that they only accept cash and they close early (7pm weeknights/Saturdays and 6pm on Sundays, closed on Mondays). Skip the other over-priced and crowded fried seafood joints in town (Chick's and Jimmies) and stick with Stowe's...it's the real deal.

“Can't wait to go back!”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Thanks to the places app on my phone, we stumbled on Stowe's on our way back to Ohio from Massachusetts. The reviews I read were so great, that we decided to make the detour to Stowe's!
Wow! It was hard to decide what to get with all the choices. Ended up with the lobster roll. It was absolutely incredible!! There are a few tables inside, and lots outside. Only downside is that the restroom facilities consist of a portalet (??spelling??).
After a very yummy lunch, we strolled across the street to the beach.
Can't figure out why this place hasn't had any reviews yet.
