There's a little something for everyone. Though if you're looking for urbane, it will not be found here. But where can you find 'real roasted turkey' sandwiches??

A friend recommended Savin Rock Roasting Co to us, so when the opportunity for a date night with my husband arose we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! It was a Saturday night, about 7pm. The restaurant and bar were crowded, but we were greeted quickly, our name taken and we were told the wait would be about a half hour...and it was worth the wait for sure. After we were seated our server, Carol, greeted us. She was very pleasant, knew the menu well and was attentive througout our meal. When she found it was our first time she offered a 'sampler of meat'. Small servings of their housemade pastrami, corned beef and roast beef. It was amazing! My husband had their fried calamari with spicy sauce, and I had the seafood stuffed mushrooms. Portions were large, and we were told our meals would be large as well so we left a lot of food on our plates to take home. My salad was fresh and crisp, with delicious house made ranch dressing. My shrimp entree as well as my husband's meatball grinder were both delicious and HUGE. Prices were VERY reasonable. We couldn't fit another bite in, but we watched them bring out awesome looking desserts and will share a meal next time in order to leave room. The restaurant wasn't fancy, but was warm and cozy and welcoming. It was a wonderful meal start to finish, and we can't wait to go back!

We've become regulars at the Roasting Co. and especially enjoying sitting at the bar for a casual dinner. Jordan, the bartender, is the main reason we have become "regulars". He's knows our beverages of choice and often has them on the bar by the time we sit down. He is exceptional prompt, professional and friendly. We tried virtually everything on the menu. Fried whole-belly clams, broiled scallops, anything pastrami or corned beef and the NY Strip steak are standouts. Specials are always fun to try. Sometimes, they do fall short on "ambicious" items: Beef Wellington, Cassoule, etc., but these are the exceptions.

We stopped at West haven on our way back to Québec. We were looking for a good meal on our last day of holidays. Thanks to T.A. we stopped at Savin Rock. We were skeptic at first since the outside of restaurant isn't out of this world! Same thing on the inside, due to reviews we were expecting something a little more cosy than plain tables with worn chairs. But who needs fancy tables when you have so much good food on the table! Pastrami, corned beef and seafood all really excellent. As was the friendly , informative and efficient service. Chowder and lobster bisque were so good! We got out lick in our fingers! The only little pet peeve, the wine was too warm. WE would definitely go back and highly recommend the food!
