Long Island Sound and Fishers Island Sound views from this large park and building with gardens near the water. Nice for an afternoon of flying kites or picnic

“Attended a wedding here”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Attended a wedding and reception at the mansion at this state park. Beautiful venue with great views, food, staff, etc. Would rec. this site for any function. The park is beautiful. Would be a nice place to spend the day walking, playing in the water and watching the sailboats and ferrys.

“Coastal Gem”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I am always delighted with this CT state park and grateful that funds exist to keep it open. Beautiful views of Long Island Sound with marshes, rolling lawns and formal gardens make this a worthwhile destination. Lots of room to stroll, sit, or frolic at water's edge. Nice outdoor chapel like area for a picnic style wedding. Admission is charged.

“Picnics”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Living in this area I have visited the park for 30+ years. Fell into disrepair for awhile but there has been much renovation done. The landscaping is beautiful. The grounds are breautiful. Friends even held there wedding ceremony there. It was perfect.
