The town of Warren has a beautiful church. It is a must to take a picture. Unfortunately a nearby restaurant, or restaurants, as they changed owners, did not survive more than couple of years. So it was a real challenge to open a new one, exactly opposite to the old. And it has survived for number of years and developed very faithful local clientele. It offers exceptional treats, i.e. a lunch for two with a glass of wine (or rather two glasses, one for each person) for $25. Hard to believe unless you order and consume! Each day (except Tuesday, closed) has a special menu. My favorite, for dinner on Wednesday is a very juicy roast beef. The service is sometimes slow but polite and the food always worth waiting for. Do not miss it if you travel in northwestern CT.

I came here with my brother on New Years Eve day for lunch. We sat at the bar and were served by Heather & Matt. They were so warm and welcoming. By the end of the meal we all felt like old friends. The service was amazing and the food was out of this world. I had the lobster roll.

I was cooking New Zealand rack of lamb that night for dinner and noticed it was on the menu. The chef came out and gave me tips on how to cook my lamb (which came out amazing by the way! Thank you Chef Mike!)

We absolutely loved our experience at the Rooster Tail. We will definitely be back!

We came upon this delightful restaurant and inn during a leaf-peeping trip to the northwest corner of Connecticut. The owners have paid attention to every detail from the decor to the food. We had a nice relaxing lunch at this quaint and unpretentious restaurant.
An additional bonus - only minutes from the Cornwall Covered Bridge!
You will not be disappointed in this hidden jewel.

A quaint, country Inn with a wonderful restaurant! Atmophshere was charming, old world. Staff was amazing. Food was delicious. Had lazy-man's lobster with crab meat stuffing that was just wonderful. Dessert was homemade apple pie with locally made ice cream! Would not have even known this place existed, and we live in the area! A perfect spot for either a special occasion dinner or just a night out! The grounds were absolutely beautiful too! It's also a B&B. Who knew this was in Warren?

This was everything you would want in a B&B... friendly staff, hospitable owners, beautiful furnishings, and a fabulous chef by the name of Will. We meant to go out and eat at other places to get a feel for the area yet we could not break the spell of this lovely place and the wonderful people who work at the Tail. We were enchanted with everything and did not want to leave! The food was superb from the lobster and grapefruit salad, to the homemade soups, grilled scallops, and the brunch... You have to have the pumpkin pancakes and mimosa!!! The grounds are beautiful and I my only wish would be to attend a wedding there... it would be the best memories for any bride. Many thanks to the owners, Maureen and Clifford for being such warm and wonderful hosts. We hope to be back to share many more memories!
