“Food is good, but table service questionable”

Most everything I've had at Panda Palace is good, especially the combination fried rice. The only problem we've had recently is that there aren't enough waiters assigned to the dining room(s). Usually only one. When that person gets busy, there is no one to help him out. There are other "administrative" people there, but they just seem to stay out of the dining room. A good restaurant has all of its front-of-house staff keep an eye on the dining room. When water needs to be refilled or a final check delivered, they should pitch in when the one waiter is busy. Doesn't seem to be much teamwork at Panda Palace on this issue.

We eat here whenever we have a craving for Chinese food. It has never disappointed us. We like their lunch menu. You get an egg roll or one of three soups, choice of rice & a generous entry for between $6 & 7. Of course you have already eaten many of their awesome fried noodles on the table by the time you get the roll or soup. Service is always good & you use real tableware & dishes. No plastic & foam here. 10% off coupons are available in many local mailings or publications.

We go here quite often because the food is consistently good and the service, even when busy, is decent.

I really like the noodles they serve on the tables when you come in. If you like hot mustard, ask for it - this one is nose-clearingly wonderful. I also like how the food isn't overly oily or salty. It seems just right to me. They have a decent selection of vegetarian entrees which is important to me, since I don't eat meat.

Overall, an excellent choice for Chinese food in the Vernon area!

The Hot & Sour Soup has a nice amount of heat and is a little thicker than versions served at other Chinese Restaurants in the area. It is a very nice start to a meal along with the large fried noodles and duck sauce.

We ordered Moo Shu Beef - lots of cabbage, veggies, and extremely tender beef. The pancakes were very fresh and the plum sauce was yummy! In additon we ordered their General Tao's Chicken - dark meat chicken sauteed crispy in a tangy sauce. We asked for this dish extra spicy, but it really wasn't. It was otherwise very good.

Their was enough to take home for tomorrow's lunch - will add some crushed red pepper flakes when re-heatinging the chicken to kick it up a notch.

Our server was friendly and attentive and had a great sense of humor. The owner was near the door as we were leaving, he was extremely friendly and appreciative of our business.

We highly recommend this eatery. They have dinner specials and are open for lunch as well.
