You'll love the place as soon as you walk in! the architecture and decor full of forest animals and indians, telling the story of the local Indian tribes. Lots of stores, classy restaurants, good places to eat, great shows and concerts, dancing. The buffet is excellent. Just walking around the place as a couple or in groups is a lot of fun. Dance your heart out at the many casino bars. Play at so many slots machines and table while courteous waiters will bring you free drinks! Bloody Mary's are delicious there. Smoking and non-smoking sections available. I haven't stayed at the hotel, but my children gave and say they're clean, comfortable and service is top of the line. The Spa has one of the best reputation in the State. I go there almost every month just to have fun!

This hotel was great, clean rooms, spectacular views, nice staff. We felt safe with security checking room keys everyte we came back. We heard no noise in rom.
The hot tub was nice, the pool was a little cool. Overall a great stay despite high price.

For $646.30 per night one would expect something better than a standard room. This rate is absolutely unjustified for a hotel in the middle of nowhere! One additional word of caution: their spa will charge you full 100% of their fee even if you cancel your appointment 3 hours in advance. Obviously, they never mention it when the appointment is made,

Room Tip: Find a more reasonable hotel in the area

This was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. Clean, all the amenities...and huge! We were on one of the top floors in a corner suite.
The bathroom was opulent and the view...perfect. We got in late and were upgraded for free... nice perk. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: get a corner room

I've never been to a casino/resort before. It was quite an experience.
The room was wonderful, tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable beds and large windows with a fantastic 21st floor view!
I stuck to the slots and had a mildly amusing time. The place is huge with many restaurants and stores. We had our massages in the chair at Brookstone....Cheaper than the spa!
We splurged on a great dinner at Michael Jordan's Steak House and breakfast at Tuscany.
After 24 hours, I was happy to leave and get some fresh air.
There is a resort fee that is tagged onto your bill at the end of your stay. I was unaware of it and protested...they gave me a $10 rebate.... Not enough to cover the charge but at least something.
Don't think I'll return... Can find hotel rooms that are just as nice without the cavernous casinos!

Stayed recently at the Mohegan sun hotel, and I must say that the hotel stay was a pleasurable experience. Hotel room including the bathroom was very clean, and the bed was comfortable, affording a decent night's sleep. To me, those two thing make up 95% of my opinion of the room

One thing, however..the room does NOT have a standard fridge inside of it. As a matter of fact, we even requested one at booking, but did not see a freestanding fridge other than the "minibar". This fridge is packed with cans of soda, light snacks and some alcohol, but expect to pay 3 to 5x average pricing if you use this option. Also, everything is monitored by weight, so my advice, don't even touch it. It will save potential problems later. If you want a late night drink/snack, the vending machines down the hall provide better value.

Checkout was simple, just check out on the tv and be on our way!

Would visit again.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view, otherwise you'll get a nice garage view.

Well, we finally did it. Our first overnight stay at the Sun hotel. My kids and wife have been trying to convince me to stay here for a couple years. Why that is significant to mention is we live less the 10 miles away. (We actually had to leave twice to go home to let our dog out.)

We do spend a lot of time at the Sun doing non-gambling activities, shops, restaurants and arcade when the kids (7 & 3) are with us. Without the kids we have seen a few shows and some gambling.

As for the hotel, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. We used the valet parking when we arrived. We did visit the pool where the kids went for a swim. (There was a hot tub for adults and a bar nearby also.)
As for other available items we used: the free Wifi in our room was spotty (we had an end of the hall room so I dont know if that mad a difference) and it would not connect with enough signal to watch Netflix. There is a wired hook up, but the tablets dont have a jack., we used the public computer downstairs, and we inquired about any discounts to the shops or restaurants that might have been available to us during our stay.
I have no complains about our stay at all. This would be a convenient location for an out-of-towner to spend a night after a show or a vacationing family to spend a couple of nights.

Living nearby, we wanted to see the views in all directions. We walked to every public window on the 32nd floor (the highest we had access to) and every view was nice. The lower floors really only saw roof or parking lots, but above the 20th the views became better to see the surrounding hillsides.

My only complaints are about price. Because I was able to pick a non-event Tuesday night. I was able to get a $109 rate. After adding taxes and resort fee, final cost came to $140.
We have stayed at many upscale hotels, and paid substantially more for per night, this was the first one that offered "Free" internet and parking. (Although the fine print states the resort fee covers access to the gym, pool and wifi)
My personal peeve/rant, I personally have a problem with a "Resort Fee". I stay at an hotel for the amenities they offer. When they advertise a price then hit me with a fee for the services, is misleading and false pricing, but I know most hotels do this now.

Overall, this is a nice place to stay if your looking for a convenient location when doing any activities at the Sun.

Room Tip: I have been told the higher up the floor, and the end of the hall rooms are larger. So if more &quo...
