We decided to go to the Casino and were happy to find Frank Pepe's there, we didn't need to drive to New Haven. The pizza was very different than what we were use to but it was so good. Very thin a crisp and just a delight. I also had there signature salad very good. Would definitly eat there again we loved it.

The pizza was OK but I found the crust to be a little chewy. Iced tea was brought without ever having to ask. Staff was friendly.

The Pizza here is decent but does not measure up to the original Pepe's in New Haven which is very good. I know they use a coal fired oven in New Haven but I'm not sure if they do at Mohegan. Not sure why this pizza is not as good but it isn't.

The only drawback to going to Frank Pepe's for pizza is that every other person within a hundred miles is thinking the same thing. An average wait for a table is about an hour. There are no reservations. One stands on line outside on the sidewalk until your party is called. Then, you go quickly over the small but adequate menu to choose your pie and drinks. While waiting for what can seem like an eternity the senses are infused with the aroma of this incredible food, the sight of the glowing coals in the brick ovens there on display, the visual of those amazing pizzas coming hot from the oven on long handled peels and the buzz of excited and happy diners who have already started to eat! Frank Pepe's is a culinary and sensory experience that should be on every American's bucket list. The building in New Haven, Connecticut is where it all began in the 1920s when Frank and his bride Filomena began serving Napolitan style pizza to "your tired, your poor" and your hungry. (Apologies to Emma Lazarus and the Statue of Liberty.) You simply cannot find a better pizza anywhere! So what are you waiting for?
