“Good food and service”

Food is tasty and well prepared. Service is friendly. Note that lunch is not served on weekends; you can eat lunch but pay dinner pricing.

“Good Italian Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2012

I've been going here for 20 years intermittently; always good food. Although the menu has lots of Pizza choices, there are MANY other options in categories of chicken, sausage, fish, veal, and pasta. Several specials are also offered daily, so if you like Italian food you are bound to fid something to your liking. This is southern Italian cooking, so lots of red sauces, cream sauces, pastas, eggplant, cheese-based dishes. The pizza is very close to having it in Italy..thin crust, tasty, and fresh tasting. This is a family run business which has been there a while so yes the decor is tired and the servers, not all GREAT--we have had excellent/friendly service the last several times we visited. As other reviewers have mentioned, the parking is a LITTLE troublesome-there is street parking (metered); they also have a small parking lot of their own which is a little inconvenient because it's a bit steep; and there is more parking at businesses across the street during off hours--it's not that bad to park. Location is not great either--but you come here for the food, relaxed atmosphere, quick in and out, good meals. Great for families w/ kids.

“Best Italian you'll ever have”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2012

Anthony's restaurant may not be the largest restaurant you'll ever eat in, but the authentic cuisine is to die for. No matter what you order from here, it's going to be good, plain and simple. Pizzas are thin crust, but you can get them thicker on request. I recommend the penne ala vodka with grilled chicken!

“Just like home.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2012

if you're Italian. It's been here for 25 years or so and everything is cooked fresh!!!!
(by Anthony)....the breads are all made on the premises daily and one never knows what's the basket will bring.

If it doesn't look good in the market it doesn't enter the kitchen. THe chef is extremely
attentive to good ingredients which is why it's usually busy

The shrimp Fra Diablo, seafood antipasto are great ways to start a meal. Follow it up with
Osso Bucco or one of the other daily specials and you can't miss with a pizza!!! All sauces are homemade.

I've been coming here since it opened. It's like home, but, you don't have to do the dishes
