“Autumn stay”

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights on our New England Road trip in Oct 2013. We wanted to be near to Six Flags for our halloween visit and it was very handy for that. Lorraine and he husband are delightful and their home is beautiful. We had an amazing room, with seating area, separate spare room and separate lounge area, with en-suite of course. Huge TV and some restaurants and shops across the road including an amazing sushi restaurant (we went to twice). Breakfasts were amazing - cooked to order, blueberry pancakes, bacon sausages, pumpkin bread - you name it. Amazing stay and would highly recommend a visit.

We chose the Lily House based on reviews. We wanted to stay near Bradley International Airport but not at a chain. It's less than 10 minutes from the airport in the historic city of Suffield. We stayed in the Stargazer suite: we had a room with a queen bed and an alcove with table and chairs. There was a lovely sitting room with a fireplace, fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. There was also a room with a queen futon that we used for luggage and as a dressing room. And we had a bathroom. Our suite wasn't next to another room so we basically had our own section of the house. Host Lorraine is perfect for the B&B business: friendly, attentive and an excellent host. We were delighted with her wonderful breakfasts and tips for things to do and places to eat. The home is beautiful and chock full of history and I would highly recommend the Lily House.

Room Tip: We didn't see the other rooms; our suite was next to a street that got plenty of traffic and we...

We loved the location of this B&B. The historic homes along the green were wonderful and there was lots to do in the area. Lorraine prepared delicious breakfasts and the presentation was always beautiful. She and Mike were very friendly and ready with recommending good choices for dinner. The rooms were spacious and the comfy beds made for a good night's sleep. Kudos to Lorraine for promoting Connecticut with all her baskets of local products. It inn is a busy place and perhaps too many irons in the fire. We felt relaxed but if detail is your thing this might not be your place.

First experience with a bed and breakfast and Lorraine and Mike couldn't have made it any better. Extremely quaint environment. Was traveling by myself and felt completely comfortable leaving my room unlocked the whole stay, that's how relaxed the vibe was. Very comforting!!

Some nice updates with the bathroom attached to my room were nicely done. Lorraine greeted me with warm brownies and made me feel very welcomed the 2 days I was there.

A lovely, cozy B&B in a well appointed 19th century house a few miles off of I 91 ... Room settings are full of character and large in scale with adjoining bathroom -- most rooms over-look the garden area. Host Loraine is a terrific baker and story teller. Breakfast was not heavy - fruit plate, juice, choice of cafe, superb biscuits and blue-berry pancakes. Best surprise were framed well-printed photographs (for sale) authorized from Frank Sinatra's personal collection ... remarkable (visual) history from a by-gone era.

Lily House is wonderful! We stayed in the Star gazer room, which had a large bedroom with super soft bed linnens, two additional sitting rooms, a balcony, and bathroom with a great shower and all the toiletries. The room was very clean and had a pleasant fresh smell. Lorraine, the owner, rolled out the red carpet for us. She was easy to talk to and ready to help us with anything we needed. We invited our friends to breakfast at the Lily house, and they have cilliacs, which Lorraine was eager to accommodate. Even though our meals had different ingredients, she made sure that they looked very similar as to not leave anyone out. The breakfast was amazing! As we checked out, Lorraine gave us coffee and treats for the road. The service and experience was excellent!

I had the pleasure of living at the Lilly House for 7 months for a work assignment in Connecticut. Lorraine and Mike treated me like family, (the good uncle) each and every day. They were gracious enough to introduce to their friends, invited me to dine and enjoy a few cocktails with them. Although I missed home, I never felt lonely. The property is meticulous kept, landscape is gorgeous and the rooms are spotless. I hope you have the pleasure of visiting The Lilly House B & B in the near future, it is a beautiful place located in a Historic neighborhood. If you do go there, asked Lorraine for a taste of her home made Lemon Cello.
