“Enjoyable dinner despite the "entertainment"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

Four of us had dinner on Saturday evening. The service was very good and very atentive. The food was well prepared and offered a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. We sampled several apps and all were very good. Prices are reasonable and the location and ambiance are very nice. They did a great job with the place. The only issue we found was the entertainment that is offered on Saturday nights. The singer, singing karoake Frank Sinatra needs work. He means well and obviously has a passion for what he doing but he is really not that good and the music can be a bit distracting. We are 50 and my son is 25. He laughed that he actually knew many of the songs and liked them before the guy ruined them by singing them. I must add that there were several older (65-70 year old) couples there who seemed to enjoy the entertainer so perhaps that is the crowd they are encouraging on Saturday nights. All in all I would return, even on a Saturday, as the place it is a enjoyable place. I didn't mention the fresh sushi as we didn't have any on this visit, but we have in the past and it is excellent!

“Hidden Gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

The Station house grill is placed inside the train station in Stratford, CT. If you drive through town and blink you will miss the sign. Don't do that because this is a place worth stopping at and enjoying a great meal. The service was good despite the fact that the server was tooooooo busy! The manager was actually helping serve the food and get drinks if need be. It is a cosy place and can get tight quickly but it is worth the wait if you have to. The menu is eclectic and everything we have had has been very good.

“New Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2012

We went here with friends and enjoyed our meals with the exception of the noise level. It is a fairly small room and the night we were there they had someone singing Frank Sinatra songs at too high a level. We were unable to have a normal conversation at the table, and the tables are very close together. That being said the food quality was very good and they had a decent wine selection, even though they ran out of our selection after one glass for two people. I would go back in the future but it would have to be on a night when there was no singing going on, it is just too small a room for that. They also feature an extensive Sushi menu along with their dinner menu.
