“Arthur Avenue in CT???”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

When my sister moved to Stratford, CT, she started to rave about this place. I'm from the Bronx and use to walk down to Arthur Ave to get bread and cold cuts every Wednesday. Then I went there and got the whole experience. The bread and meat is awesome! Loved every bite but it was the guys that made it an experience. Super friendly and funny...very willing to help you decide by giving samples...One of the best heros I ever had. Now that I live in Stratford, I can visit when ever I want but most time, it is on my way to the beach...YUMMY!!!

“Bangin grinders!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

I found this place thanks to friends. OMG this place has the most awesome subs around! Everything is fresh, the staff is great and it's always busy! I'd certainly stop in here for a sub or even the hot foods available. Everything is made on site other than bread which is delivered daily from NYC.

“wowee”

This place first caught my eye 15 years ago and it's wow ever since. Beautifully hand layered sandwiches of prime cuts ,freshest tomatoes, crisp lettuce ,marinated peppers ,mushrooms and the finest aged cheeses among a variety of hot offerings make this deli a MUST for anyone in the area . Everything is well backed up by a dutiful staff who seem to never slow down. Dont miss this place .

“What's the word for Delicious in Italian?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

This great "Tiny" Italian deli is a well known fact for the locals, as well as the not so locals.

This is a place for people serious about their food. The sandwiches are decent size, the lines are long (if you go at lunch expect to be in a line to the door. The workers are super friendly and speak to everyone waiting in line as if their family. If there are more than a few people waiting, it's common practice for them to slice up some proscuite(sp?), salami, or whatever on a plate and pass it down the line to the customers.

Fresh cheese hang from a string over the counter, singing by the workers are common and trust great all around customer service... add that to great food and you've got a winning combination!!!
