It's an old building on the water and a very popular place. We had a great meal my husband the fish and chips which was very fresh and delicious, and I had my first Lobster roll yummy. There was about two lobsters worth of meat on the roll. Really good meal. It was great and we had another good server. I would hit this spot too if you can.

Wonderful spot for a lunch. Stonington is very small and restaurant/bar is directly on the waterfront. We were there for lunch, and lobster roll is fabulous. We got there as doors opened for lunch and waitress seated us with a smile. Other customers came is and the staff was vary friendly--as were customers. Full bar service is available.

We had lunch here. Friendly service, more than adequate food at a reasonable price. Located on the water as you enter town

Stonington Borough is a quaint New England village of vintage homes, cobblestone streets, and the haunting background music of harbor buoys. It looks like a tourists cliche, with white washed old colonials, picket fences, pretentious shops & galleries - not the kind of neighborhood you'd expect to find The Dog Watch Cafe. On the water at a very active boat marina, Dog Watch is a huge surprise. Casual, yet very adult in nature, there's a great bar, small tables indoor, and outdoor seating both in front of the shop, with seating on the dock behind the shop ( w/ heaters and small fire pits for your comfort on a chilly night.) The menu is varied, with small plates, sandwiches, and excellent local seafood entrees - featuring the World's Best Bouillabaisse ( and this is not an exaggeration). If you like the charm of seaside dining, without 'fake yankee-isms' you will really enjoy Dog Watch. Excellent service, a lively bistro, great kitchen.with free parking in marina lot across the street.

Best place ever!!! The girlfriend and I first visited last night and we are back today for lunch. Amazing food, wonderful service and a great attitude from everyone. One of the owners, Dave is a wonderful guy. He has created one hell of an atmosphere and it's been packed each visit. We were still seated promptly! I would recommend to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! We had the clam chowder, crab stuffed mushrooms, butternut squash soup, and fish (cod) & chips. It challenges the best and wins! This is the first review I have ever written...because I have never deemed a place worth while.
