I am at a loss to understand what happens to Asian chefs when they cross into Connecticut. Do their tastebuds disappear? Do they believe the natives will revolt if the food is spicy or authentically seasoned? Do they think their customers like everything made with lots of sugar? Sadly, Kit's Thai Kitchen serves the wrong answers to all these questions. Save your money. Eat at Ole Mole, which is 2 blocks away.
But if your craving for Chicken with Basil gets the better of you, keep two things in mind. First, the dining area has a most peculiar smell which definitely does not encourage lingering, and the table service is erratic at best and often just plain bad. Get take out, which is prompt. The food is no better, unfortunately.
