“Real pub atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2012

Unpretentious food served in a friendly atmosphere.there is plenty of variety on the menu and we usually go for the burgers. There is a varied wine list and two craft beers on tap (in addition to the usual suspects).

“Tavern Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2012

This is a place you can go to watch a football or basketball game at the bar. The bar, however, is a particularly difficult place to eat due to the large overhang which places your dish too far from your mouth. The tables are better places to sit for eating and there are fires going in the cooler months. The decor is all tavern. My wife and I both ordered burgers and fries and they were good, though over-cooked. We've eaten here before, ordering trout or mac and cheese. This is not fine dining or advertised as such. It's just OK.

“Fantastic surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2011

While being driven around CT by a crazy navi system, we bumped into this beautiful tavern in the middle of nowhere with the a high end pub atmosphere and very friendly staff and good food. We loved it and in our memories will remain the patch of sun between the woods that made the place shine in the background and made it a 'can't miss' place.. with a properly working navi system, do look for this place, it's worth the visit and the ride from the coast is fantastic!

“Horrible Food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2010

Went there for a Thanksgiving Dinner. Big mistake. Food was delivered 1 and 1/2 hour later. Food was luke warm when delivered. Choice of food in general is very average. Vegetables were steamed and cameout soggy. Owner was not attentive nor willing to listen to client's complaint. Bathrooms were dirty!

Very disorganized in general, The only bright spot was the waitress who tried her best depsite this restaurant's shortcomings.

“Yummy food, slow service, bizzare cottage-attic decor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2009

I've eaten here several times and never had a bad experience. I usually get the duck, and it's very good. They offer generous portions and a quiet atmosphere. The service is slow, but all the strange trinkets hanging from the walls and ceiling will keep you entertained.
