We liked this hotel. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The decor is contemporary and the room clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not very big but Comfortable enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very easy commute to Manhattan as the train station is not far and there are trains every half hour. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here for a long weekend and the guest services were really nice. Hotel offered free transportation to and from the beach. There was a bit of a wait but no big deal. On the trip back to the hotel we were driven in a Porsche. The hotel has a pool and a jacuzzi, is very clean and the staff are very professional and polite. My husband left his camera in the car while being transported to beach and it was returned. Also, the hotel is located in the heart of Stamford so every thing is within walking distance and there are lots of restaurant to choose from.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway in August. This hotel is located right near some great restaurants and shopping in downtown Stamford. Hotel was clean and in good condition. It gets very noisy at night (if your room is located on the street with the restaurants). Had a hard time sleeping. Front desk staff seem to lack "interest" and were semi-robotic. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and I am always greeted and made to feel special for being a Reward Member. Not here in Stamford, which I found odd. Breakfast was lack-luster - in a restaurant (not owned by the hotel) but was connected to the hotel. Limited menu, rather expensive. On Day 2 of my trip, we went out for breakfast as there are many places in the area where you can eat and all are in walking distance. Hotel valet was another issue. Not very professional acting and a little on the rude side. Not sure if I would stay at this property again, as there are many other hotels in the area that are just as nice.

Room Tip: If you are looking for a good night's sleep, ask for a room not located on the street.

Centrally located to business, shopping, transportation and restaurants - not a lot more you could ask of a property. Parking is a breeze and inexpensive at $10 a day for valet. Rooms were well appointed and bed was comfortable. Rooms were very quiet - I could not hear hallway or neighbor noise which is nice when you are trying to sleep. The valet and bell staff were attentive and always available. The front desk was top notch in helping with any request. This property does not have the Bistro, so if you like that sort of thing this one does not have it. There is an attached restaurant that can deliver meals to your room and charge as room service, but it is not a Marriott restaurant. I would choose this property over the Stamford Marriott on my future trips.

First time to stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Stamford. My room was large with a king bed and sofa, and a view of the Landmark Building.

The key advantage of the hotel is its location. The hotel is in the center of the restaurant and bar section of downtown Stamford. It is adjacent to Napa and Company (a premier Wine themed restaurant) and across the street from Barcelona, the most popular bar and restaurant in town right now. Within a block you can visit the SBC restaurant, Emme italian, Ferrante italian, the Fez Moroccan, and several other fun places.

You are within a block and a half of the Mall, and the train station for a trip to Manhattan is within walking distance - although the Courtyard will offer to shuttle you over as well.

All parking is by valet, and the cost is only $10 per day.

Of course Courtyards do not provide all of the amenities of the full service Marriotts, but the staff is friendly, there is a bar for happy hour and the pantry has a selection of snacks, beer, wine and sodas to grab if you get in late.

Since the access to food and shopping is so good, it is doubtful you will miss the other amenities anyway.

Room Tip: If you want to get away from elevator noise, ask for one of the rooms farther down the hall. The hal...

Three-night stay with family for a quick weekend get-away to NYC. Staff attentive and courteous. Location fantastic; next to many great restaurants and a 12-minute walk to the Metro North station (and a 45-minute train ride to Grand Central). Small pool (signage allows for no more than 10 bathers at once). Valet parking.

Room Tip: Booked a terrace room which was great. Provides the option of sitting outdoors in great weather, pro...

Heavy snow was predicted for later in the night when i checked in. I was tired and a little jet lagged so went to sleep immediately but got up around the time when it started snowing. I was a little cold and then i realized that AC wasnt very effective. Managed to get back to sleep bundling myself into the cozy bed.
After that, rest of my next one week was fairly comfortable. The breakfast at the napa restaurant of the hotel was great and the staff so smart. The staff at the reception as well was all smile and help.
The lobby was a convenient place to get some business guest or to get a print etc. I carry good memory of the reception area and just outside of it during those cold nights which was well lit and played some lively music every time i walked out to smoke. I met some interesting travelers there as that was the only place one could get to smoke in that hotel - just outside of it.
The location is amazing with a lot of restaurants around the place. The hotel has a nice parking place and also gets you cab/shuttle. You can actually call for the shuttle anywhere in the town and its complimentary.
There is no room service but you can order food from 2 of the restaurants in the vicinity. You can also pick up any thing that you require from the reception desk or what they call the market, including a pack of waffers or a bottle of cheap wine or an AC/DC adapter.
I dont remember whether i needed to call someone for help or was it just that the temperature outside got better over the remaining nights but the AC didnt bother me again.
All in all a nice comfortable stay.
