I recently stayed during a business trip to the city. The hotel is new, clean and very well managed. I rarely stay in the Holiday Inn Express or any Holiday Inn but I was impressed and would liken experience to Marriott Courtyard.

Of note where both front desk staff in evening and morning who were super helpful.

I was unsure where the hotel was located relative to downtown as we got a cab from train station but it did seem a little way from heart if downtown. But area seemed safe and had a couple of places to eat close by.

Overall very pleasant and I would stay when next in Stamford.

This place is above and beyond 5 star customer service. They have helped us with trying to find places to eat, helped us with catching the train to New York City and printed off the train schedule. Amit is so helpful. Donald also has such superior customer service skills.

We stayed at this excellent hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed very much.
The hotel is renovated and very comfortable. we had a suite of two rooms - very huge and modern furnished. the location of it is convenient.
We enjoyed the very tasty breakfast with a nice variaty of foods.
The pool is somewhat far because it shared with other hotel
The staff was very polite and gentle - some focus needed to improve the cleaning of the rooms.
We sure will return to it.

I arrived at 10:30 PM after enduring 45 minutes of road construction delay on 95-S. The check-in entrance parking is about 1 car length off the road. There is parking spaces at the entrance but I am assuming guest had parked in them for the night due to the $10 parking fee. There were 2 cars lined up for valet parking which closed the parking area. I had to park in a handicap spot, sorry, to check-in. The front desk clerk was great. She was smiling and had a great personality, check-in was very quick and painless. The parking garage is behind 2 hotels and you need to walk through the Crowne Plaza to get to HIE. No problem. Both hotels are clean and quiet. The room was excellent, spacious and very clean. It must be a new hotel by the quality of the room. There was a bit of noise in the hallway at 11:00 PM but other than that, no problems. I highly recommend this hotel and I would certainly spend more than 1 night here.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, a/c that works without deafening the guest, efficient bathrooms, free internet and printing. Front desk service was warm and helpful. Choice of food and beverage in the area within walking distance is a bit limited. The Stamford Plaza next door, which is linked by a corridor, has a bar but it was closed because a group had booked the entire hotel for Rosh Hashanah. There's a Chinese place across the road but otherwise it's a drive to get a beer or anything to eat. There are the usual pizza, burger, wings delivery restaurants available, but I prefer being a bit social when I stay away for business. Other than that and the fire alarm going off a couple of times (admittedly during a Stamford tornado watch!), the stay was good for a hotel, great for a budget hotel.
