There is always a movie classic playing on the screen in this glam, over-the-top restaurant in Stamford. We love to try the Italian tapas, and share an entree or a pizza while sipping on a delicious wine. The other day we had grilled asparagus, fried artichoke hearts, goat cheese cakes with cranberries and almonds and a wonderful Eggplant Parmigiana with penne pasta cooked al dente. The service is professional and the vibe is young. It's a nice "date restaurant", and then see a movie 17 films are within walking distance from this place.

Zaza is the closest I have found to eating a pizza from Italy! The scapriello pizza is one of my favorites. As well as the many delicious Italian tapas, such as the osso bucco or the branzino. Their drinks from the bar are generous and I find Italian tapas to be a great idea. You can try many different things on the menu for a smaller portion and less money. Music is very loud for dinner- which I like but letting you know! Give this place a try!

Disappointing - only had 2 items - BBQ oysters (really broiled) and the octopus and bean salad. Oysters were decent enough. The octopus tasted 'old'. This is more of a place to be seen - although there weren't a lot of people there on a Saturday night around 7. Large (really large) TV playing old movies - think Sushi Samba in Las Vegas - and mostly 'pretty boy' servers standing around is the atmosphere. Go to Barcelona if you want good food.

The restaurant is very nice and stylish, it's possible to sit inside and outside at tables or sit at the bar. The service is quick and friendly and the food is tasty. The servings however are rather small.

The place is attractive with a lively crowd. It is VERY noisy so almost everyone is yelling but that seems to add to the feel of the place.

The problem here is not the scene, but the food. Sadly, it is very average and it should be much better for the price and the atmosphere. The Chicken Parm tasted like it could have been made at a diner for example, although the gnochi was very good.

A bigger problem lies with the kitchen and the service/management. On the night we were there, everyone in our group's food came out at different times so by the time one person finished their mean, other meals arrived for other people. We received a pizza that was cold and we sent it back. When it re-appeared, all the kitchen did was to put it back in the oven to heat it up - as confirnmed by the missing spot where the first piece we tried was removed. We pointed out to the manager that reheating a cold pizza was not acceptable, she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away and tried to make us seem like we were somehow inflexible. Well, when I go out to dinner, I don't just go for the food - and in this case it was very mediocre - but also for the service - which was amaturish - which might be considered an insult to amatures everywhere.
