“A taste of Greece in Stamford”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

We went to EOS this evening with a party of six including two kids. We started with saganaki (flaming cheese) which is always a lot of fun and also very tasty, tried a variety of dishes inlcuding the fish of the day (bronzini), chicken, mousaka, pastitsio, and the salmon. All were very well prepared. We were celebrating a birhday and we shared two of the desserts among us. Service was very accomodating and friendly. Highly recommended for terrific Greek cuisine in Stamford.

“Very Good Place for Appetizers and Desserts”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

We decided to mix and match several appetizers, rather than order some of the pricey entrees, and we ended up enjoying our meal a great deal.

While the hummus was (as our waiter candidly advised before we ordered) fairly standard, both the roasted eggplant spread with warmed pita (including whole wheat pita) and the special warmed feta cheese covered with sesame and poppy seeds and drizzled with a light honey were outstanding. A Greek salad was mostly fresh (some of the lettuce could have been fresher, but at least the other veggies were tasty) and was topped with a surprisingly light and yummy dressing.

Dessert of Greek rice pudding studded with bits of orange made for a delicious way to cap off our al fresco meal.

Speaking of al fresco: Summer Street is a main street, so, outdoor seats at Eos aren't exactly in a "quiet zone." Even so, the noise level ebbed and flowed between loud and quiet during our visit; it wasn't constantly noisy, and we were able to carry on conversation without raising our voices.

All in all, this was a nice find in downtown Stamford, and if we were back in the area, we'd probably try this again.

“Addictive Taramosalata”
Reviewed July 13, 2012

Great place for lunch, outside seating and brisk service. More-ish Taramosalata, tasty calamari and octopus were the highlights for me. We ate Tapas-sized mezze dishes and the food is perfect for sharing

“Save A Trip To Athens, You Will Want To Dance”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

I have had many meals Athens, late at night feasting on the local fare, especially the local cheese, octopus, lamb, and wine. When I tasted the fare at EOS, each dish was a reminder of Athens, authentic in every way. The owners take great pride in providing a classic high-end Greek atmosphere, trust the waiters recommendations and try many dishes. You will have an extraordinary experience, just don`t throw the dishes.

“Very expensive & food just OK”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

$40 for a lamb dish?? Are you kidding me? I have eaten three times and the food is only OK. But will seek other venues after my last visit where I felt it was certainly not worth the price tag. Small quarters somewhat cramped and noisy. Outdoor seating is on a very busy street so the ambience is not great.
