My wife and I stayed here after I got us tickets to the Maury Show. I wanted to stay near the theater and in a place that was a bit nicer so we didn't have any questionable neighbors. The hotel was awesome--we didn't have any negatives for it. Maybe one--to be difficult. The hotel has a garage, but it is unsecured, so I worried about my car all night. However, no one can enter the hotel from the garage because you need a room key to move the elevator to a floor. That was good. The hotel decor is modern, and the room was pretty minimalist, but nice. We had a king bed, and a modern bathroom. Perfect for a one night stay. I called ahead to check on down comforters and pillows since I am allergic and I was reassured they did not use them, hence my reservation. They do use synthetic down comforters, which apparently bother me, but that issue was fixed in no time and with no complaint from the hotel. For that they get very high marks. We stayed on a Thursday night, and they had a "Zen Hour" function which offered complimentary wine and cheese as a happy hour function. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the complimentary breakfast was awesome for a hotel breakfast. The hotel is an independent business, and it was definitely focused on good customer service and cleanliness. If you are staying in the area, put this on your short list. You won't be disappointed.

The staff was overwhelmingly supportive and went above and beyond to accommodate myself, family, and guests the days leading up to and day of the wedding. From last minute copies of directions (volunteering to deliver them to the room), extra chairs for makeup central (also delivered), a great deal on the bridal suite, tasty breakfast, a helpful goodie bag of emergency provisions, and a bottle of champagne as a surprise greeting as we returned as a married couple.

GREAT location (and happened to be within walking distance of the reception) and relationships with many local restaurants for additional deals. I can't speak enough the reflection further supports how much the day was made easier by the staff and hotel amenities.

The hotel was beautiful and modern - located conveniently close to the interstate. Free underground parking is available. The front desk staff were mediocre in terms of friendliness, but no major complaints. The room was small, but sufficient for 2 people. The bathroom was amazing - stand up shower only (no tub) - glass & what appeared to be marble.

The best part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast the following morning!! The best hot breakfast I've ever had at any hotel, and they keep it well stocked and hot! Will return on next trip through the area!

I arrived very late from NYC on the metronorth and having read the perky reviews, thought the hotel would be an easy walk from the station, and a cab was unneccesary. I am a lone woman business traveller, but I travel extensivelly all over the world, and am not easily worried. The walk to the hotel however, scared me, and given how desolate the area around the hotel is, how devoid of people at night, I think the hotel should offer more information so people arriving from the stations can firstly find the place more easily, and secondly, make a judgement on whether to take one of the many cabs lined up. The station and area around the hotel is pretty desolate - highways and large expanses of corporate property between the station and hotel. I initially went out the wrong exit from the station - directions on the hotel website would be very helpful. Very few people around to ask directions.
Easily fixed by more info...
Hotel itself was good. Poorly soundproofed room though - ice machine some distance away woke me 3 times. Free Shuttle bus was very much appreciated although the driver didnt know the way to the nearby Hilton which made me late for a meeting. He doubled as driver and kitchen worker - would be helpful to guests to have a driver who knew local destinations.

The hotel was clean, offered coffee in the lobby all day, and had a nice breakfast in the morning. It was very convenient to all the restaurants around the corner and is certainly adequate for a stay. I thought the room was small, and also found the lighting in the bathroom terrible for putting on makeup. But the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Spending three days for Business in Stamford this hotel was a real find. Centrally located I got to all my destinations on foot. Some locals still know the building as the 'old' YMCA. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning. Internet and WiFi are free and available throughout the property, even on high floors. Will definitely stay again when in Stamford next. Only drawback: when arriving with a heavy suitcase you have to overcome a number of steps up to the reception area and elevator (no sign that the way through the garage might be easier...)

Room Tip: High floor rooms are quiet.
