Description: When seeking an exceptional dining experience, Stamfordites need look no further than their own backyard. At The Capital Grille in Stamford Town Center, dry aged steaks and 20 year-old Scotch fortify Fortune 500 power brokers and power shoppers alike, while refreshing cocktails and irresistible appetizers delight patrons of the Palace Theatre and Rich Forum. Clearly, distinctive dining is not reserved for that larger city down the road. As a charming young lady once said, there's no place like home.

“Never a bad visit”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I first dined at a Captial Grille in Arizona. I was happy to learn of one in the Connecticut area. I absolutely love this place!! They have a wonderful pineapple soaked vodka drink. Fo the wine lovers they have an extensive list. I have never encountered a bad meal here. The service has always been 5 star. The food is absolutely delicious and the desserts are sinful.

“What High Standards Can Do to a Chain Restaurant”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

I've eaten at the Washington DC restaurant and the one in Stamford, CT.
Both are beautifully appointed and there is a warmth about the place as well as the welcome you are given. You are immediately led to your table, and as soon as you are seated, your drink orders are requested, your water is poured and the bread basket is served.
The contents are a delicious introduction to the meal, with an interesting variety. The staff is in sync with your wishes and if you are busy in conversation, the menu is not thrust upon you nor does the waiter offer a description of the specials. When you are ready to order, you have a choice of various cuts of beef but also lamb, fish and vegetarian, if you like. The meats are perfect and perfectly done. Medium rare means just that. The salads are not original but good. Mac and cheese is delicious as are spinach and onion rings. Desserts are up to the meat standards and cappuccino makes a perfect end to the (satisfying in every way) meal. The tab is high but for an experience, not a meal, GO!

“Excellence Abounds”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

We had an excellent dinner celebrating our grandson's 14th birthday at the Cap;ital Grill in Stamford. Very warm welcome upon entering, waitstaff (Adolpho) and team were superb. My grandson had eaten their several times before, and Adolpho was right their with his soft drink when he sat down. The service, as I indicated was excellent as was the menu selections. Although this might be classified as a chain, it presents the atmosphere of a warm, family-friendly club. We highly recommend the Capital Grille in Stamford. An added treat was the Free Valet Parking.

“Ask for Jermaine as your waiter”
Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

Our waiter had such pride. He knew all about the dishes, the restaurant, the chain etc. He was great. Tomato salad, mashed potatoes, scallops and bread were unbelievable. Lamb was a bit gamey. Hard to believe that the same chain owns Red Lobster and Olive Garden. Ambiance was nice but bait noisey. Free valet parking.

“As expected, nice place - good food”
Reviewed January 25, 2013 via mobile

Just enjoyed perfectly prepared scallops on a bed of rice, corn and fresh herbs sprinkled with some cilantro - it was delicious! Nice place, excellent server: Jeremy, classy and attentive. I'd visit again if I'm in town.
