“Fresh ingredients”
Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for lunch, Israeli salad was really fresh and fantastic, loved the hummus and pita, friendly atmosphere and service. Lunch portion was more than enough to fill up my husband, who is no stranger to big meals. A really good place if you are trying to eat healthy, which isn't easy on the road.

“Excellent Mediterranean Cusine”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Located about one mile south of Exits 34 and 35 off the Merritt Parkway, this mediterranean style restaurant offers an outstanding array of healthy food choices. It's small and not equipped to handle a family gathering, but is excellent for two or four people who want to enjoy some outstanding food and spend some quality time together. Service is friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit high, but remember you're getting quality product here. And don't think it's just tabouli or baba gnash, on this visit I had a hamburger in a pita. Israeli salads are among the best ever. Try it; you'll find a secret trove of good, healthy food. Just remember, it's small and often crowded, but worth the wait.

“Great sit-down Mediterranean food!”

I'll keep this sweet and short. I thought the food was great, while the staff was attentive and the place was clean.

“Healthy rarely tastes this good”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

If its true (it is!) that a restaurant's food quality can be assessed by a soup or a sauce, that mantra can also apply to a dish or a menu item. In the case of this compact Mediterranean cafe on the outskirts of downtown Stamford, their 'Sabiach' provides many reasons to keep returning. Billed as "the rage in Israeli street food", its a fine dice of grilled eggplant, hummus, sliced egg, tahina, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage and parsley with lemon and olive oil, all packed inside a pita. The large look is deceiving - with no 'heavy' contents, its so easy to eat, and the fusion of flavors is exquisite. A particularly healthy meal for just ten bucks...
