Every time we go back to Paci, we truly enjoy the food and, even more, the great decor. We were on the mezzanine, which is quieter than downstairs, and enjoyed every moment. Service was great. Wine (Sagrantino) a bit overpriced, but very good. Clams and then veal Milanse were very good. Folks who had dessert loved them (mostly chocolate stuff). Definitely, one of my favorite in the area. Romantic, business and casual events will do well in here.

A charming Italian restaurant housed in an old railroad station house. The decor is simple and clean with vaulted ceilings. The wait service is exceptional and the food is well-prepared. The chef will take special requests. The owners are charming people. The desserts are home made and are absolutely killer. The cannoli shells are made on the premises and the cream is heavenly. It is a farm to table restaurant featuring local produce and meats. Fish is so very fresh. The menu is always updated and changed. It is a bit pricey but worth the trip.

Visited for a special occasion with my husband and was thrilled with our experience. Lots of friendly faces have moved on to Paci from another local favorite of ours so it was a nice surprise to see them! Our meal was wonderful and expertly crafted. You cannot go wrong with fresh handmade pasta and what I believe to be spectacular service. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about on the questionable service...

Yes it is more expensive than your average Italian restaurant, but it isn't your average Italian food.

Take the Metro-North train out of Grand Central Station in NYC towards New Haven, and stop at Southport. No need to leave the platform; just go into the station.

A number of years ago, Metro-North realized that no one really needed an East-bound station, so they sold/leased the building to an inventive group, who founded Paci … an Italian restaurant with a bold take on dining.

Some might complain that the the restaurant is expensive … perhaps it may be for Fairfield County, but I think not. And, certainly not for the NYC area.

Portions are sizable, and tasty. The wine list is varied. The decor is inventive … a 10-foot projection clock on the wall allows all to know the time so they may catch the next train back to the City.

This is a restaurant that is equally adept at serving romantic couples as it is business groups … families as it is singles. It is NOT well-publicized, but it is well-patronized. And many come back again, and again.
