Don't ive far from the Delamar but sent a night there just to get away. availed ourselves of the Delamar Doggies" package.

The room was huge, bathroo also very large. This is not even ne of the fireplace rooms, but one of the simpler ones. amenities were great. Small bottle of chianti awaited us and of course the dog bowls and bed plus treat for the pup.

Breakfast was included and was quite good. Bacon and pastries were especially notewoerthy. Dinner at Artisan was very good of course.

Service iis friendly and personalizaed as you expect from a place of this caliber.

Spa is small and has a very lkmited menu but the aromatherapy/hot stone massage was great. Also utilized the fitness room which is small but does the trick, Elliptical was better than the ones at my gym.

We did not have a coffee machine in the room but the spa was two doors down and it has one.

We were on the I=95 side and while the traffic is audible even with double paned windows I didn't find that it disturbed sleep.

I stayed at the Delamar Southport yesterday and found the service, staff and accommodations outstanding! What differentiated the Delamar Southport from other properties in the area was that their shuttled picked me up at the Southport train station and willingly took me to Westport. They also were proactive in arranging 5:00 a.m. ground transportation to the airport. This boutique hotel's hospitality even included having coffee available for guest as early as 4:00 a.m.

It goes without saying that I highly recommend the Delamar Southport.

I revisited the Delamar for a weekend and was anxious to see if it had changed in the year since I stayed last. I'm happy to say it is still the beautiful, well kept, accomodating lodging, with the great addition of the Artisan restaurant. Honestly, other than possibly a multiple outlet for recharging electronics, there is not one complaint I could conjure up! The room decor is tasteful, rooms are spacious, and everything is spotless and shining. I definitely plan to revisit and look forward to doing so.

We only stayed at the Delamar for one night, but it was one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. I think the pillows were the best I've ever slept on! The room was nicely decorated and very spacious, but most importantly, extremely comfortable. The only thing that was not so nice was the ringer on the phone. It was downright scary when the phone rang-- a really jarring ring that should be changed. That is my only complaint.

From the moment we checked in until we left, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We wanted to book a massage at the last minute and despite the fact that they don't have therapists on site, Dan at the front desk spent hours calling and ensuring that he could get us an appointment. They also extended our checkout on that day. If that's not top-notch service, I don't know what is.

The massages were amazing. Not only was it a great massage, but they provided us with a bottle of champagne and access to a private suite with a steam shower. We were able to relax before and after the massage in front of a fireplace and hang out while we waited for the steam shower to heat up. This was such a great way to relax and really took the stay to another level.

I would absolutely stay here again for the comfort and excellent service.

There aren't a lot of options it seems, in this part of the world so we were fortunate to find "Delamar Southport" which is, for all intents & purposes, a very nice, clean place to rest your head. The hotel was quiet (except for the family next door that either had heaps of children or were running a make-shift day care). The location seemed quiet enough. We were fortunate to get a room NOT on the I95 side & though the train is within walking distance from the hotel, the trains going past were not that loud. The hotel & rooms are straight out of "Ethan Allen". Everything felt expensive & as though care was put into the details. Our room, a "superior king", was quite spacious & lovely, with a fireplace. The sheets were fine but the bed HARD AS A ROCK. Some people like that, so hopefully you are one of them because I can't imagine there are other options. The bathroom was quite nice. Large. Well appointed.

***Get a room away from I95 I have heard.

***Eat dinner at Artisan. The chef is FIRST RATE!!

***Brakfast is no bueno. TOTALLY different scene from dinner so please dont let this stop you from going at night. Eggs are runny. Everything cold by 9:30 & man they "break it down" at 10 sharp so you better get it out of bed & down stairs or head to "Athena'" on Post Rd. for an all day omelette.

***FREE water by bed every night. A bonus these days.

***in room coffee pod machine.
