“Great pizza”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

I don't usually write a review about a pizza place, but the pizza is great. Nice thin crust, fresh ingredients, fast service. We've only done take out and even the spinach salad with a warm vinaigrette was great - the dressing was still warm when we got home and poured it over the salad.

“Area favorite”
Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

If it is pizza you seek in the Simsbury area there is simply no other sane choice than little city and it's savory pies.

“Delicious Fresh Pizza”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

Even though we have a bunch of supposedly great pizzerias very close to our home, we often find ourselves driving to Little City Pizza. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the pizza base has just the right balance of crispiness and chewiness. It never fails to make my eyes roll in to the back of my head. Mmmmm.

We also like the asiago garlic bread dipped in the tomato sauce, the vanilla cupcakes and the beer.

Been there many times and has never disappointed.

Personally I like the comic book theme but perhaps some find it a bit dark in there.

“Best "CT pizza" in the area, maybe in the state!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Fantastic food. I love the Chicken Pesto Panini (if you're not getting a pie, of course). They serve what I consider to be the ubiquitous "Connecticut Pizza" (gotta have our own style - we're like that). Somewhat of a NYC-style and New Haven-style hybrid, many places West in the state have come to produce this type of pie; a thin, very crispy, peasant bread crust with blackened bubbles (ala New Haven) but in a larger slice size, with fresh fresh fresh chunky sauce, herbs, and well-distributed cheese (ala traditional NYC). Will, the owner of little city, is a fantastically nice and charitable person, giving a good name to small business. If the noise or wait bothers you, I'd say Little Mazen or Luna (Luna is $$$) are second, and Joe Pizza third (ONLY due to freshness of ingredients-its good, but talk to someone who works there off-the-record; they use many canned ingredients). CT pies are here to stay!

“Love it or hate it”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

You'll either love it or hate it.
They put cilantro on pretty much every pizza. So cilantro haters like yours truly have a hard time. Too many of the pizzas also have ricotta - apparently there's a school of thought that if you put ricotta on something, it makes it more Italian. No, it doesn't.

They also do the (alas way too common) faux pas of leaving the tails on the shrimp. This is only acceptable for appetizers where you grab the shrimp by the tail, but not for a pizza, where you have to dig with your fingers into hot and saucy pizza to pick the shrimp out and peel them.

If you eat in, beware of long waits (even if reserving seats) and a very noisy restaurant.

But otherwise, many love their pizzas and find them the best in the area. They love it.
Due to not being able to eat anything with cilantro, I can't agree. But that's just me and the few of us that have the gene for tasting cilantro as soapy gym shoes. I hate it.
