“Heublein Tower is worth the hike”

The one-plus mile walk to the tower is well worth the hike. The view from the top of the hill is great, but the 360 view from the tower is fabulous (on a clear day). Not to be done in high heels or with a baby stroller!

I've hiked here many times over 45 years and the hike gets more strenuous, but is worth it! If you plan to go prior to Memorial Day or after foliage season, bring your own water, because the fountain will be turned off.

This is an excellent way to spend an afternoon outside. The hike to the ridgeline is not too strenuous and well worth it. The views are incredible. If you hike just a bit further along the ridge trail, you will end up at the 165 Heublein Tower. Climbing to the top of the tower offers one a 360 degree view of the New England countryside. There is also a gift shop at the base of the tower.

We did this walk years ago with our two children. I, of course, wasn't in shape for the hike up and the hike down killed the backs of my legs for days but oh so worth it. It was a fun day with a picnic lunch up at the Tower and the views are gorgeous on a clear day. You can actually see to New York State from up there. The view overlooking Simsbury is beautiful and breathtaking all in one. If afraid of heights, don't go near the edge. Many many many people walk up there on a regular basis. Great scenery!

The view from the top is nice but the hike up is steep. You walk basically on the edge of a cliff. It s scary but you do get rewarded. 4.0

A wonderful hike, scenic, not too long, with the tower to explore at the top. We do the hike at least once a year. Beautiful in fall!
