I enjoy shopping at Fitzgeralds. Its small enough to not be overwhelming and large enough to carry products I need or want. The meat, seafood, deli departments are always fresh and clean. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.

This is a small local Super-Market with several prepared food counters.
They have pizza to order or ready to eat, a wonderful deli section, fantastic bakery items and a great selection of very fresh fruits + vegetables.
Everything is "to Go"

There's no eat-in area, but you can easily find an outside table outside the Peaberry's or the Peach Wave, both right next door.

The salad bar is amazing; always fresh (I used to work there and they need to replace each thing multiple times a day, it's so popular), well-priced, and I always get a great meal out of it. The cashiers weigh the salad container itself, so I would recommend avoiding adding eggs or dressing (for weight purposes). Buy your own bottle and save a lot.

The deli has a really nice sandwich/wrap station. The wraps are made there and sold packaged. I would seriously recommend the chicken and grape salad ones... so good. The sandwiches you can request, with a bunch of different kind of breads, spreads, any kind of meat/cheese, lettuce, tomato, what have you. The deli people are very accommodating.

The kitchen is almost entirely make-here-and-package. They also do catering events and preorders. The ladies in the kitchen are creative, keep things moderately to pretty healthy, and one of the main cooks has a degree from Johnson and Wales. They taste everything and have a very high standard of quality. The soups (which are sold from the pizza area), are mostly ordered in, but the chili is made in-house, and is absolutely excellent.

The pizza department is run by an old pro. Thin crust pizza, buffalo milk cheese, freshly made toppings. The quality is one of the best in the area, rivaled only by Luna's. The price is much better, though. IMHO, the most underrated pizza place.

The bakery is partially "baked here" and "baked from scratch." The items "baked here" are consistent, and they're always on the lookout for new, better products. The "baked from scratch" are truly amazing. I think the best lemon bars I've ever had came from there. The bakery also has truly lovely cake decorating. Ask them for some pictures; they have literal books of pictures of cakes they've made and decorated. They have two main non-self-serve cases: one is full cakes (that someone can always write on), and the other is cake slices. Tiny cheesecakes, slices of chocolate mousse, fruit tarts, Italian cookies by the pound, and cupcakes are all available. There's a different sale each week, so check that out.

Bonus: Call the store and ask for "x" department; they're always happy to tell you what's in stock, what they're making, what's seasonal, what's on sale, etc.

I would say I do my grocery shopping at Fitzgerald's 99.9% of the time. We are big proponents of shopping locally and this is an excellent example of why. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. It may be more expensive than shopping at one of the big chains, but I think it's worth. There have been literally dozens of times that I've gotten attention and help from the staff that you would never get at a big chain. I really like the fact that a few years back they switched away from a majority of self service in the meat department. The employees are are well informed and ready to help if you have a question. Their bakery and pizza departments stand out. And not only are their prepared foods convenient when you don't feel like cooking, they are delicious and have a great variety.

The salad bar is full of fresh items. There are so many options to choose from that it's amazing!
3 different greens
Peppers Olivier eggs
3 cheeses
3 meats
And more much much more. I enjoyed my salad to the fullest for lunch and it was $10 for the large. They base the amount of pay by the weight of the salad so it's worth it!
I will be going back
