I was looking forward to the change in location to the 1820 House. What can go wrong? A really good restaurant in a really great setting. I assumed they would up grade the menu even a bit as this cheif is known for his creative offerings. I assumed in this new venue they had room to express themselves in an innovative decor. What we had in the old Metro Bis was a intimate small setting with a great menu hence the appeal. Instead they replicated the same setup in a much larger venue which is a lose lose, loss of intimacy and imposition of that kind of setting on a really great old New England setting. So in seating and decor it was a total failure in transition. OK what about food. The menu was unchanged and if anyrthing it was tired and dull. I still rated it as very good but no longer excellent. We will go back but hope they do something because there are other choices. Their chef deserves better.
