“Loved the food, decent service, a bit pricey”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

I think we would have felt better about the value if the entree came with pasta and a salad. The server was OK but not much personality. Too bad because the entrees were excellent.

“Best pizza in town”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

Pizza has chewey crust, just right sauce, and lots of cheese cooked in a brick oven. Try bacon and sliced tomato or sausage and broccoli toppings. White clam pizza is elegant. Eggplant dishes and specials are outstanding. Carmine oversees everything with his wife. Pleasant surroundings in dining room.

“An unexpected gem”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

This is a true family owned and operated restaurant that cooks and serves great Italian food. The decor is modern classic Italian with lots of rich wood and a great atmosphere (apparently cost was not an issue when it was built). The bar is a cozy location with the same decor and a marble top. The fantastic brick oven was built by an expert that came from Italy to do the job.
Enough about the decor. The food is authentic, freshly prepared in their modern kitchen that you can view through a glass window. The menu is extensive with special preparations every day. It is hard to choose because they are all great. My Mom had scrod and scallops cooked with olive oil and garlic and she said that it was delicious. My friends especially like the calamari and mussels. Another friend had seafood risotto and claimed that it was the best risotto that he ever had. I have tried a variety of the classics and each one has been great. It is unusual for an Italian restaurant to have a great steak but they have a rib eye alla griglia that is wonderful (sort of like a Florentine steak) con rappini). Of course they have chicken, veal, pork and a great selection of seafood dishes. Oops, I forgot to mention their great brick oven pizza of which many people rave about but I have never tried it.
They have a nice dessert menu with a variety of Italian desserts including gelato, tiramisu and a homemade ricotta cheese cake.
Service is great and you probably will be served by a family member. It is moderately priced and a great value with terrific homemade Italian food!
They are also open for lunch with daily specials.
