“Consistently good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

My family and I have eaten at 50 Coins five times within the past four months and have never been disappointed. The food is always good and quite plentiful. It's casual American style dining with tv's broadcasting the latest sports game. The pricing is family reasonable given the portions and food quality. My only complaint is the service tends to be a bit hit or miss depending upon how busy the restaurant is that day. It's never been awful, however, it's more often just ok.

Overall, a solid family place to eat in a casual dining environment.

“American Bistro/Sports Bar in the heart of town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

This place is often packed and there is always a waiting line on weekends, but this just proves the quality of the food and service. There is a bar for those just wanting a quick bite and brew while watching whatever game is on, usually several as there are multiple TV's throughout the restaurant. It is loud and friendly with multiple generations and family groups intermixed in the seating area. This is not a place to come for an intimate, romantic dinner; its a noisy, fun local eatery. The food is excellent with hot entrees, sandwiches and wraps and daily specials. The staff is always friendly and cheerful, even on the most hectic days. It is easy to see why this place is so popular. The owner has been involved in the restaurant business for many years and he has definitely hit it out of the park with this latest enterprise, a tip of the hat here for his tasteful collection of baseball memorabilia.

“Great casual restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is a nice casual restaurant with consistently good food. The salads and burgers are very good. There are a lot of families and kids, but it appeals to adults as well. It does not pretend to be haute cuisine, and if that is what you are looking for you should go elsewhere.

“Family friendly pub food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Some friends love this place because it's good with their kids, but I wouldn't go there by choice. It's family friendly, so depending on time of day, it's filled with small, medium, or teen sized kids. Food is basic pub fare, service mostly prompt in crowded settings. Fifty Coins has its place and fans, but I'm not one.
