Description: Cellar Door Steakhouse provides the ultimate dining experience with our juicy cuts of USDA Prime dry aged beef and elegant ambiance. The key effect of the dry aging process is tenderization and concentration of flavor of the meat. Our dinner menu is varied, offering seafood, small plates, and plenty of choices for non-Steak eaters. We also offer a lunch menu of soups, salads, and creative sandwiches. The beautiful decor of the restaurant has been developed by designers to have a polished, upscale feel with subdued lighting that will relax you upon arrival. The illuminated Onyx bar and lounge area was developed to be a fun, elegant space. This has become a very popular spot for the gathering of couples, friends and singles since the inception. The staff and management are extremely personable with the desire to please, which is the restaurants main goal at all times. Just like highest end steakhouses in the City, without all the hassle!

A nicely appointed restaurant. The food is good but nothing special. They make a big deal about their pizza. Looks great, but lacks taste. Rather bland. Entres, especially the pasta dishes, are a better choice. Great bar scene. Well make drinks.

Nicely appointed atmosphere, although quite noisy.
The food was good overall, and the desserts were a cut above your standard fare.
My companions enjoyed the seafood pasta, while I had the short rib ravioli. It was good, but not well balanced. Too much fresh tomato sauce and not enough short rib. I should have gone for the pizza - the neighboring table ordered a bunch of them and they looked delicious.
Service was good, although it slowed a bit as the restaurant filled.
Give the place a try when you are in the area - it should not disappoint.

This fairly new bistro is both chic and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful, a credit to the owner who obviously knows how to pick a staff and run an eating establishment. The food was tasty; this chef knows his stuff. Among the several appetizers, the fried calamari was perfect, crisp coating with tender meat within. It takes hot oil and a watchful eye to get calamari right and they did. However, the entree was very rich for my taste, maybe I just like milder servings, hence the average rating. If you are a fan of rich, full tasting and filling entrees, you will not be disappointed here; the food really is very good.
We went in the middle of the week so the place was only half full. I would probably suggest calling for a reservation if going on the weekends.

The Cellar Door Bistro is an attractive restaurant in the heart of Ridgefield, located just behind Main Street. It is a little noisy inside and some sound panels would make it more amenable to conversation, particularly when out for a date or special day.

It is a popular spot and on Friday and Saturday is packed. Service really slows down because of this, raising the question of whether there is a large enough wait staff. Staff are very friendly and really try to make you feel you are most welcome - but they are incredibly busy.

The menu has nice variety and interesting sounding dishes and is presented nicely. It is good but nothing great. Flavor is good but not balanced; the various tastes in the dish do not differentiate themselves. As a result, the food is pleasing to eat but lacks any "ah" moments on one's tongue.

With time, I think The Cellar Door will find its way. It could use a few signature dishes that one would come back again to order. But in comparison to the Ridgefield restaurant scene, it is average - which is pretty good in a town blessed with good places to eat.
