“Delightful Getaway”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

We stayed at La Domaine for two nights in January. It was fantastic. The villas are very nice...lovely outdoor shower and an extremely comfortable bed. It felt like our own private beach onto the river / sea and we enjoyed a few hours of gentle kayaking exploring the sand bank and desolate stretch of sandy beach on the opposite bank. It really was an idyllic spot. Everything seemed thought-out and guest centred - from the hammock outside our villa to the table set out on the beach for our dinner. It was all lovely.
Ian, the GM, was extremely friendly and helpful....nothing seemed to be a problem for him and he had a smile on his face all the time. A very hospitable manager in a first class resort. I was particularly impressed by housekeeping. Our villa was always spotless and prepared and somehow we never witnessed anyone inside....
Overall we felt very well looked after on a fabulous island paradise.

We are an Australian family who this week have just returned from 4 days at Tam Hai.
We cannot speak highly enough.
The staff were excellent, accommodating and helpful.
Free use of all amenities, pay for fuel for the speedboat to go over to the next island and set up glorious picnic lunch.
Dinner table set up on the beachfront every night, bonfire on the beach last night.
Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff.
Explore the village areas over the island to see some real Vietnam.
Thanks Ian and staff for a fabulous rest.
We were sad to go back to real life where wearing shoes is expected!!!!

Room Tip: If you enjoy quiet and peace this is an excellent property to stay at. We will visit again.

We visited Le Domaine de Tam Hai on 13 rd December this year and were there for 3 days. We'll definitely be back. It is one of the most peacefull and charming resort i ever sawn in Vietnam. It is peaceful and very relaxing. The rooms were great and very spacious. I enjoy the foods, singing and dancing on the beach. It was very impressive our amateur DJ - Ian a most lovely English man in the resort and the other one is Thang also very friendly and so caring us to go through the journey discovering the Chu Lai Island by bike and hijacking. Excellent Chef with all the tasty meals from breakfast to midnight meal. That was great time for us to escape together
Wow! It imagination that I highly recommend to you on Tripadvisor.
We all agreed that Good Place, Good food, Good people and Good time

This is a number one place and our second trip.
Excellent service (western)
Clean villas, close to sandy beach,
Excellent food. Warm shower
Clean beach (unfortunally not everywhere).
Perfect hosts (Jennes+wife).

Room Tip: As close to the "Le Sofa" (bar) as possible but they are the same.

I'm an Australian guy living and working in the megatropolis of Saigon, a heaving mass of humanity blasting around on motorbikes, barrelling forth in red light running trucks, exhaust belching buses and under the constant attention of everybody so escaping from this madness is a necessity.

So, to find a place that is far removed from this lifestyle is truly magical. Waking up to the sound of waves rolling in on the distant shore, the sound of birds and NO traffic noise is priceless. I wake at my leisure and stroll along the beach to the restaurant/bar for breakfast, I swim in the pool, I wander into the village to see how the folk of the island live, I can go across to the ocean side and walk forever along a deserted beach and I can swing in a hammock reading a book. But not only can I relax I can also get my work done to as the wifi is excellent!

Villas set amongst coconut palms a sand floor bar/restaurant make shoes superfluous. The indoor/outdoor shower is sensational and the room designs are unique. If you want nightlife, a variety of eating establishments, hanging out with the masses, hustle and bustle then go to Nha Trang. But if you want a beautiful location and tranquility come here. It maybe off the beaten track but if you arrange your transfer through the resort from Danang or Hoi An they will come and collect you and deliver you right to the resort. It wouldn't be easy to find but that's what makes it so special.

So as Molly Meldrum always said," Do yourself a favour" and visit Le Domaine.

This is my second stay and this time I have been here at the tail end of typhoon Wutip which obviously isn't the best time to be coastal resort but having said that I have had a perfect time. The rain has been lashing the coast, the breeze is strong and then bouts of beautiful sunshine adds variety.

For some, this is a trickier place to get to which for me is perfect. But realistically it's very simple. Just arrange, through the resort a transfer from Danang airport. Sure, it takes awhile to get there but then that's the beauty of the place! If you want a great escape then why choose somewhere in the middle of a city or a resort next to another resort? This place is a hideaway an escape from traffic, honking horns, relentless sunglass sellers, annoying cyclo drivers and hotels that all blend into one memory. And it's the only resort on the island making it truly one of a kind.

I loved the sound of the rain on the thatched roof. The breeze blowing through the villa was fantastic. The sound of the waves, the sound of birds and the occasional fishing boat chugging by are soothing to weary city ears.

Being on an inlet provides protection from the fury of the open ocean which is only a short boat ride away so though the weather has been less than perfect, I would much rather be here than anywhere else.

So if Tripadvisor is about advice then I highly recommend this place. It's off the beaten tourist trail, the villas are very comfortable with all the good bits like wifi and a/c and the indoor/outdoor bathroom is just super cool. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough to look after me and once the sun popped out the pool was sensational. I also went into the village looking for people to photograph and it seemed the friendliest place on earth, not jaded by tourism, no one trying to flog me anything. Happy smiley faces everywhere,

So if you want tranquility, if you want the sounds of nature, if you like privacy, if you don't mind making a little bit of an effort to get there and you like places that are chilled then get thee to Tam Hai Resort.
