In my last two journeys to Ha Giang, I stayed in Hoa Cuong Hotel and found it's enjoyable. It's the biggest hotel in that area and have all I need. Wifi available; clean, nice and spacious room with full of your necessary amenities.
The price is so acceptable (at US$25-30/room/night), however, no buffet breakfast. For around US$3/person, they serve breakfast upon request with some basic dishes (pho, pan cake, fruit...)
The staff are local resident, from different ethnic group and to be honest, their English is sometimes difficult to understand.
There're some noises from the corridor, however I'm a good sleeper so I was fine. If you stay there for Sat night, ask for a room that view to Meo Vac Market. Love the moment when I wake up, pull the curtains back, open the window and see a colorful picture of local ethnic people in the market.
Ha Giang is still a remote area that everything still very very "basic", sometimes even under the "basic". But, it makes Ha Giang unique and off the beaten track! Once you decide to take the trip to Ha Giang, make sure that you are ready to take these "challenges".
Will be back, Ha Giang. And surely, Hoa Cuong hotel is my choice!More
