I visited Kudrat in Apr with my husband. I must admit that the teerthan valley is beautiful but very very far away, it took us almost 8 hrs from chandigarh by road. I wish it was near so that we could visit again and again.
One we reached Kudrat - it was like reaching a dream house. Every corner in the house is very tastefully done. For 2 days we were there- we just stayed put in the house- gazing at the snow capped peaks, eating great food and yaa we did little walk in the forest right behind the house. Great relaxing stay we had.
The 5☆ are for the owners and the staff at Kudrat.
Bhavna, mohan, puneet and sudhir...(i guess i am missing few) are what makes this house a joy to stay at. We have travelled enough in and around the himachal and uttarakhand belt and would say that this house has so much of love in every corner. We had the Attic suite on 2nd floor...so every time we had to climb stairs (that was an itch) but its was so beautifully done. Amazing skylights over the bed and library can mesmerise you.
My vodafone didn't work but they had Jio wifi- so life was sorted.
Few other things worth mentioning are;
1) picturesque Sharchi village is a 30 mins by car or 2 hrs by trek. must go.
2) river is again 20 mins away - sudhir helped us with some beers..loved it.
3) waterfall is a good trek..we walked for almost 2 hours from Kudrat to reach there...must go. avoid car ..if fit ..try walking from the house itself.
4) Ask sudhir (owner) for guides ..fishing / trekking / birding..it seems he knows everyone in the valley there.
5) The house has some amazing views of snow clad mountains and distant views of river tirthan.
6) paid 10K for the room found the price little steep...but i guess the, cosy interiors, warmth of staff and owners and home made fresh food justifies it very well.
Would visit again for sure !! Kudos for doing a great job.
loved the location of the property / house. With snow clad mountains in front of you..super warm hosts Bhavna/Sudhir to talk to ..mouth watering fresh food..cedar trees all around you..beautiful river and bird sound all around.
From good coffee to beautiful rooms to bon fire to little trek that we did around kudrat... ...everything was so memorable..
Felt so much like home...i badly miss baby Kudrat...love u guys..we are definitely coming back soon.
Kudrat is nestled among pine and cedar trees and rustic villages. Sudhir and Bhavana are very friendly and gives good guidance for nature enthusiasts. What impressed me most was their love for the hills and the friendly nature of the locals of Tirtan valley.
We had a super time at Kudrat! Beautiful and picturesque house made of stone and wood. Beautiful views of deodar and pine trees, valley and snow clad mountains. Tranquil atmosphere. Tasteful interiors (each corner is an Instagram opportunity!). Tasty, homemade, satisfying food. Warm and interesting hosts. Interesting conversations... Well stocked library and cosy corners overlooking the mountains, to curl up with a book... What more does one want? I will let the pictures do rest of the talking!
Amazing setting and location where i experienced two worlds coming together - peaceful world of the hills and the action packed mountains of adventure.
Kudrat is situated on a hill top surrounder by snow peaked mountains. Its all wood!!!!!
The view from kudrat is simply amazing. Kudrat is in an area which is Not a commercial area at all. Kudrat is an amazing place to leave the hustle bustle of city life behind.
I came a step closer to kudrat here as i discovered a new passion ... Bird photography. I clicked more than 20 different kind of birds in the area.
Kudrat is virtually in the lap of forest. A few minutes hike and one reaches apple orchards blooming away to glory.
The owners are a polite and friendly couple who know just about everything in the world- yoga, hiking, photography, fishing and above all chit chatting. Hospitality is amazing.
I did some trout fishing and yes i did manage to catch a trout. The water is v clean and worth chilling one's beer in. )1)
Those who dont want any kind of adventure can simply sit back and read in amazing weather of tirthan valley. The place has a collection of books and skylit reading room.
This is definitely the best time to visit the place.
