We stayed at the Alicelia Boutique hotel for 1 night on an overnight visit to Ithika. Initially the hotel was hard to find as its tucked away in a tiny side street. The locals were unsure as to its whereabouts as its relatively new and still not known very well. The owners are a young couple and we were welcomed by Alice who was very friendly and helpful. We arrived much to early to book in but were welcomed and told this was no problem and our room was ready, We were shown to our room which was beautiful, newly and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was continental style and taken in the very pretty garden. Booking out was very relaxed and we were told there was no rush. This couple are new to the hotel trade and it seems they are still learning. They are doing an amazing job and i'm sure they will be successful.

Room Tip: we had a room upstairs and it overlooked the garden, very pretty and very quiet.

Alicelia was recommended to us by some friends. Overall it is value for money. Nice, well-decorated, new and very clean rooms.
However, dont stay in the rooms on the ground floor facing the street. You will never be able to open windows and also it gets really-really noisy in the night!!

If you are wondering about the style of this hotel, simply visit its website. The photos of the establishment and the rooms are pretty accurate. It is very stylish and the rooms have a very nice design.

The location is also very convenient as you can simply walk to everywhere in Vathi. Do go for a ride with the bicycles provided by the hotel; the seafront of Vathi is flat so it's an easy ride.

Here is a tip for the rooms. In total there are 9 rooms; 5 of them on the ground floor (with 3 of them overlooking a small street and the other 2 the yard) and 4 of them on the first floor.
In order of priority, my first choice would be a room on the upper floor, second choice ground floor with a window to the yard and last choice the ones on the ground floor with windows on the street. The street is not busy at all so don't worry about the noise. The whole island is very quiet and calm!

A friend of mine recommended this hotel to me and I have myself already recommended it to another friend so...I did like it :)

Room Tip: Tips included in the review.

A beautiful Venezian mansion restored with great detail. The rooms are spacious with amazing double beds, behind the 1 meter thick wall made of rock. It must be around 200 hundred years old but can't tell for sure...

It is 1 minute walk from the town center with no parking area. The streets are very narrow anyway...

No sea view, but I am not sure if you actually need it since the mansion architecture provides a fantastic view! Moreover, Ithaca is amazing and you won't spend too much time inside anyway...

There is also a beautiful lounge area ouside with 'amacas' and sofas to relax.
