Made a reservation and was seated promptly. Service was good. Menu had something for everyone. Probably a bit pricey to bring kids but it depends on what you order. My duck was perfectly cooked and my husband's grouper was fabulous. Our guests also loved their meals. Would definitely go back. We were very busy talking so the service speed did not matter to us. Overall a great experience.

Lisa, thank you so much for your wonderful review!
We appreciate all the positive comments you had about our restaurant. We love getting feedback about our guests' concerns as well, and a few months ago we added a "kid's menu" to accommodate families with children. It's priced accordingly (and portioned accordingly as well) to make eating out with the whole family more affordable.
Again, thank you for all your support and enthusiasm. We'll see you again soon!

Menu was creative. Food overall was very good but flank steak was not seasoned. Others meals were very good. Wine selection good and reasonably priced. Dessert was very good; duck fat doughnut with ginger gelato. Service was not great. Took several minutes to take drink order. One burger came out with cheese despite explicit instructions of no cheese. Waitress completely forgot about our coffee at end until after we finished dessert and we brought check. Will try it again based on quality of food and atmosphere but service needs to be better next time.

Had high hopes for this new restaurant. Unfortunately it did not deliver. From the very heavy and bland "lobster fritters" to the almost tasteless rack of lamb accompanied by almost raw duck fat fried potatoe slices to the very long wait for entrees(very few patrons at that time), things obviuosly did not go well. Finally, desert of chocolate mousse cake, tasted and looked liked Drake's "ring-dings." Won' be going back.

This is our new favorite restaurant. Everything we ordered was excellent. I ordered a steak and shrimp that was a special for that night. The steak was literally better, more tender and more flavor than Ruth's Chris at half the cost. The shrimp was succulent and the sides were mouthwatering. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere and interior is brick and bistro and very pleasing. Only complaint is some of the tables for 2 are a little too close together and there was a party an adjoining room that was quite loud but it was not a deal breaker. I also think the bar is beautifully done. Definitely going back.

we went with 4 friends to 50 West on a very snowy Sunday night, our Saturday reservation having been cancelled because of the storm. Weren't many diners there when we arrived, but the staff greeted us like long-lost relatives! The atmosphere is almost like a ski lodge - very cozy and inviting. They had a wonderful, inexpensive selection of wines, and the menu was varied and interesting. Several of us had seafood dishes, one veal, and one pasta. All were really very well done, and the plating was beautiful. Desserts were wonderful! In the following days, I tried several wine stores to find the New Zealand wine we were served at dinner - no luck. So I e-mailed the restaurant owner, and he got back to me immediately, saying he would ask his supplier how I could acquire some. He thanked us for coming to his restaurant - how cute is that? - and hoped we would return soon. We definitely will!
