“Real Mexican”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

A refreshing change from the usual Tex-Mex places around here. It may take a while to get seated, which just shows that even the "new restaurant" label has worn off, it is still a busy place. the food is real Mexican, the drinks are good and the service is excellent. I have been here dozens of times and have never had a bad meal, drink or experience.

“Best Mexican Restaurant on CT coast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

If you are looking for great Mexican food in a restaurant that has much better than average ambiance, then this it the place for you! A recent addition to the Route 1 corridor is big plus for this shopping mecca.

Warm greeting at the door. Outside seating for those that love the sun. Music on weekends awaits, if that is your desire.

Best of all, is the varied menu with more than the average choices. My favorite is the Burrito Expresso. My wife's favorite is the Valarta's Camerones(sp may be off). Anyway...shrimp in a semi-sweet sauce should give you an idea!

If you wish to escape the country for awhile, then enter a little bit of northern Mexico. I don't think you will be disappointed! This is a favorite haunt of ours!

“Overrated!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

OMG, everyone was talking about this place. Went there with a few friends and the food was just soso. The salsa was to tangy for my liking and the tables were on top of each other. Recommend elsewhere

“It's Puerto Vallarta---and It's Good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

The extensive menu includes all of the usual Mexican favorites: tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, burritos, etc. But it also includes an excellent array of more creatively prepared dinners and chef's specials, which have been uniformly good when I have eaten there. The restaurant is tastefully, though predictably, decorated, usually with mariachi muzak in the background. I have found the service to be friendly and efficient as well as usually knowledgeable about the chef's selections. The food's quality is good, plentiful, and the chef's specials are some of the better Mexican eating one can enjoy in the area. I'll continue to be a repeat customer.
