Driving across 95 in Connecticut, we saw the roadway sign for the PEZ Visitor Center, and decided, "Why not stop?!" We followed the signs to the center, and it did provide a nice place to stop and stretch our legs. The restrooms were clean, too! For $5, you enter the somewhat small, self-guided museum, but if you're planning on purchasing some PEZ (and who wouldn't?), you get a discount on your purchase with the voucher. They give you a PEZ lanyard as the visitor's pass that makes a cute souvenir, too. The displays were really professional and fun, but there wasn't a ton of stuff to see. There is a window into where they make the candy (candy is made in CT, dispensers are imported from overseas), but there wasn't much about the actual candy-making part. Mostly, just a showcase of old dispensers and the history of the company. Upstairs, there's a lounge area, but not much to see, so it's just a quick roadside trip. The giftshop wasn't even that large, but they did have a handful of exclusive dispensers that you can only get there. We did pick up a few PEZ packs that we are using as souvenir gifts (hey, for $2 and the story that we were at the factory, you can't beat it!) If you're not expecting too much and you're not in any time crunch, go ahead and pull off the exit for a fun place to see.
