“Casual, Delicious, Recommended.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Have been here several times, most recently we dined here for lunch March 9, 2013. The menu has a good variety, with a poached pear salad for me and a hearty bison burger for my carnivorous hubby. There is a great variety of local and national beers on tap, and bottled selections as well. The service is great, atmosphere is cozy. Our meals were excellent, a bit pricey at $14.95 each, but well enjoyed nonetheless.

“A local small town pub. Good and understated.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

Exactly as advertised- small town pub. Exceedingly friendly staff. They are truly out to please. Food was what you expect. I had a perfectly cooked omelet. Those with me had well made entree salads. Prices very reasonable.

“nice cob salad”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

Good cob salad and lovely coffee. The noise level got so high I couldn't hear the person talking I was dining with, felt like we in a bubble. Hostess had a sour attitude.

“Quaint little spot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

We found a nice little spot for a quiet lunch right in the center of Old Saybrook. A traditional Irish pub atmosphere but quieter on a Wednesday afternoon. Good food, many choices, sandwiches, burgers, salads, wraps. You've got to try the (mini) oreo pepermint pie with fudge sauce for a seasonal dessert, really delicious!

“went back for the famous lobster bisque”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

The food in this unassuming "PUB" was absolutely and unexpectedly excellent. The other wonderful surprise was that there was live music downstairs that night. We did end up going back the next day for lobster bisque!
